  1. Hey Everyone :) Well, I'm not sure how I did it, but I finally finished my latest short film :) The production on this was much different than my last short film Two Worlds, as I faced a few different challenges. Regardless, it's finished and now I can sleep :) http://www.fatchancefilm.com Cheers, Andy
  2. Hi Everyone! So I'm back at. After my first short film Two Worlds and taking a much needed break, I'm currently finishing up my second film and hope to have it complete next month. I'm currently working with the composer to finalize music, work on a few comps and tidy up some FX stuff. I've had the teaser up for some time, but haven't really spread the word. I'll be hitting up the marketing over these next couple weeks. Anywho, this one's a bit more tongue in cheek humor with a good splash of fun! Cheers, Andy http://www.fatchancefilm.com
  3. Thanks everyone! I've been wanting to do an IG-88 piece for as long as I can remember. If time ever permits, I'd love to bring this guy into a short film or even a teaser. Cheers
  4. Hey Everyone, In my quest for controversy ;) I wanted to do another piece in my "Alternate Universe" series with IG-88. All modeling done in C4D (besides the 2 pieces against the wall at the bottom...bash kit). Shaders in Substance Painter and final comp/post in Photoshop. Cheers, Andy

  8. Yeah, here's a quick and dirty. The mesh is quite dense on this since it was right out of substance painter. I'm putting together a breakdown video of all the modeling, textures, comping ,etc. Will post it when it's complete. Cheers!
  9. IG-88 has been a small obsession of mine, and probably due to the terrifying dream I had as a child that he was chasing me attempting to kill me (of course after seeing ESB about 10 times back then). I do realize this may cause some controversy with some Star Wars purists (me being one of them) I wanted to flip the scenario between IG-88 and Boba Fett, hence the "Alternative Universe" title. I do plan to expand on this with other ideas, but wanted to do this just to do it. This is my first Star Wars based fan art and plan to do more as time permits. Hope you enjoy
  10. Thanks everyone! It was a fun project that was a borderline obsession over 4 days. So happy I finished it before the holiday last year :) Cheers
  11. Hey All, It's been a while since I've posted, mainly due to work being so nuts lately. Here's a breakdown I did of my 2016 Holiday animation. Hope you like :) Cheers, Andy ...and the original animation
  12. Thank you all for the nice words! It was really fun to put together. The list of software goes something like this... C4D (all modeling, shaders, lighting, rendering and animation), 3DS Max, FumeFX, Pflow (for FX), X-Particles and After Effects.
  13. Hi All! Finished up my Holiday project I've been obsessing over...finally. Took about 4 days, but finally finished it up before work craziness kicked in. https://vimeo.com/194177192 Have a good Holiday everyone! Cheers, Andy

  18. The film has picked up quite a bit of laurels...and that comes as quite the surprise! I've been working on my second film now and hope it doesn't take as long. Ha!

Hello! It's been a while since I've stopped by the Cafe. I hope everyone is doing well :) Things have been quite busy over the last year or so, but all good :) This is some work I did last week for Skullcandy. Cheers, Andy
  20. Hey All, Two Worlds is up for voting over at Reel 13 Film Fest. I would be eternally grateful if you could cast a vote for my film Cheers, Andy Vote here - http://www.thirteen.org/reel13/voted/
  21. Hey All, Thank you for the kind words! I've been a bit busy with work, so haven't had much time to browse the ol cafe. Things with Two Worlds has been quite consistent and hope to contribute more time to it in the near future after things wind down. Cheers, Andy
  22. Howdy Folks, i'll be presenting Two Worlds at Siggraph this week (Tuesday 10:30 PST) and some techniques I used. Tune in for a live streaming here http://www.c4dlive.com/ Cheers
  23. Hi Largadeer! Thank you for that, it's really appreciated. Like I've mentioned, I never imagined I would reach this point and I also NEVER imagined getting such positive feedback and encouragement from such a great community. So, cheers to you and everyone that's helped me along the way
  24. First off, having the support of a great community like this has worked wonders on my stamina. So if anyone is taking any hats off, it's me to you. So thank you all for the kind words and support. It's well beyond appreciated I never thought that a silly idea like this would blow up so rapidly...and didn't really have a plan in place. Turns out MAXON will be sending me to Siggraph this year in LA to present the film and chat about the making of, techniques, etc. So that should be a blast...nerve racking, but a blast! Also, got word that 3D World magazine is doing a feature of it in the August issue in their Short Cuts section. To say the reaction has been great would be putting it lightly. Seriously...I had no real intentions on what to do with it once it finished, but I guess the gods are deciding that for me ;) Cheers, Andy
  25. Hey, thanks for the support and thanks for kind words! It's appreciated
