  1. @Fastbee You are assuming developers actually do the design, which is not true, even though some contribute to design. Even the smallest companies have design teams :)
  2. Folks, let's try and keep it nice, I know this kind of topics can become heated very quickly. If we turn this into bashing we are simply discouraging people who can tell something about future to post @Cutman I didn't say you were troll, I said some people could perceive you as such Regarding C4D version info for members, it helps a lot when someone is assisting you (so it can propose solutions in that scope), or when someone is hiring you etc. Useful in multiple ways, and even though it is a rule it is a "mild" rule.

  4. Folks, unfortunately neither Fritz or me can't disclose information apart from what is known already, regardless of our enthusiasm and passion. It has been like that for years and we must respect company policy. What I can assure you that we are not crazy (at least Fritz isn't :P) and along with a lot of other people in MAXON is that we are not delusional and know what is needed to stay competitive on highest level.
  5. I am really amazed to see how easily you make such statements, as though you actually know anything about R20, which most certainly you don't. People could easily get an impression that you have certain insight in development, where you don't. All you are doing is pure speculation flavored with negativity due to your personal dissatisfaction. I am sure that many members consider you as troll, which, if you are looking to be in 3D industry in long run is very negative badge to carry. Well, then all companies would do that, right? In reality, especially in software, that doesn't work since such approach leads to extinction. That is relative to the task at hand, not an universal principle. You can have 100's of developers but maybe not a single one who can do a specific job that is needed. On the other hand, you can have a task that is nicely scalable by adding more people. If the point of your posting is simply to confront, label, badmouth and bash Cinema, MAXON, features or even members that use and love C4D then maybe it is time to move on elsewhere? You are perfectly entitled to decide that C4D is not meeting your criteria and job requirements, nothing wrong with that. Let's do a thought experiment. So, let's say R20 is out and it is monster release with everything you hoped for and you decide to stick with C4D since it ticks all your boxes. If you are a freelancer or you will be on market at certain point, members will recall all this negativity and bashing. You would be surprised how many talented people failed to find decent work simply because their social skills were not up to certain criteria...
  6. R19 is not out and there are talks about R20 already :) I am certainly not at liberty to give any information which isn't already public, but big increase in manpower in last years is no secret.

  8. welcome! :) I made the block&gap python effector and will record that as a lesson since it seems very useful but not for next class. Next class will be an interesting paste/liquid rig useful for many applications Cheers

  15. That is exactly how it works, there is a video of it in action in this topic :) @3D-Pangel This thread revolves on what people know about R19 and that is ProRender. No other features have been made public.
  16. New Class 04 uploaded - wheel rig :) Re facial rigging - this is difficult to record in small amount of time due to numerous factors. One is obviously weighting but I will make such a Class once I find a good way to demonstrate this. What do you find most difficult to do? Rig facial expressions, eye movement or are you just searching for best common approaches?

  20. it's i7, no fancy machine not sure if it is 6 core but CPU doesn't really matter here that much. As far as I know, GPU that is used is similar to nVidia980ti, or in that range. Scene is 750K polys.

  23. Master class revolves around shorter videos, between 15-30 mins and python usage is shown and will be shown in most of the future content. Dedicated Python guide would take considerable amount of time. It could happen but not in TD Master section, rather as general training :) @Flowlife I see, you would want context based one...
