  1. Really very sad news...I was read thread on cgtalk at the morning, but still can´t believe it. Rest in peace Dan, you will be missed.
  2. You can change/update user data for seting exact dimensions of rectangle, but then will be not work this setup properly. As you can see (and remember from previous threads about rectangle sweep problems) in this setup is used mospline as source for sweep and driven by polyfx. And it´s all work nice only in case your spline is linear and without intermediate points.(adding these broke idea of setup) PolyFx simply divide whole spline into linear segments and sweep use rectangle for all segments of spline (turning off caps on sweep shows you what I said better)

James, how are you satisfied with new card inside C4D? Have you Thea render or Octane? I´m very close to build new PC and I thought about to buy GTX1070. Since have Thea render want to know how benefit Thea from new pascal cards. I was read something directly on thea forum (some special dll libraries or patches needed for working on pascal´s), but not some benchmarks or tests there... btw, games... I think we all start with games. First steps with pc was about games...Fallout series is one of the best games ever in this kind of games imo. (especially love first 2) and my most favourite Deus Ex series...
  4. Nice progress Tony, is main objective create nice model (doesn´t matter of polycount) or you have some limits?

    Cycles for C4D

    Thanks Mike for good news.
  6. As looking on comparision chart (hope remember exactly), Bodypaint altough has sculpting, but don´t support SPD. So, you can create nice sculptings but can´t use displacement maps generated by baking...(Hope I understood it correct)
  7. Bodypaint contain all modeling tools as Prime and all other version. About upgading path...I was check my local distributor, also some others, but didn' t found upgrade to advanced versions.(only upgrades from Prime or older versions of Bodypaint). Better will be ask directly at some distributor about it. (maybe upgrade as sidegrade option)
  8. If box move isn´t an option, so it´s resulting in simpler code only ;-) The main objective was to show "way". In case of xpresso setup is "outside" of all related objects, this is like "main switch manipulator"
  9. or you can use simple coffee code (don´t worry, it´s very clear and can be edited anytime with other few lines (if more objects/tags ´ll be used)) expresso test_0001.zip
  10. Instead of range mapper can be used negate node for inverting input value (set as boole data type)

Did you buy software from your local distributor or outside of your country (are on MSA)? My distributor (friendly guy´s from DigitalMedia) send me email when ending my MSA few months ago and immediately after release R18 send email about sending box to my address. Simply ask your distributor...
  12. Very nice combination 2D and 3D. Really love this kind of textures... Volumetric lighting and floaties are simulated or real?
  13. really nice animation, nice lighting and color selection...

So, I'm back in the game :-) My physical copy came today while I was at work. (As I was mentioned differencies in size of boxes somewhere in previous post, must correct it...are the same size with R17, it was only optical "illusion" :-)) And what is inside? Note: tablet isn´t part of pack :-) So, the fun begins...

This is known limitation of SSAO... (quote from manual) "Note that for technical reasons the world grid, world axis and the lines of other non-renderable elements that are shown in the Viewport will be seen as ,geometry’ by SSAO. These should be hidden in the Viewport (Filter menu), if necessary. Furthermore, ,paradoxical’ effects may occur: SSAO darkening can occur on a Floor object at the outer edges of the Viewport."

    Cycles for C4D

Looking on nodes system and have a question...Are they totally different from native c4d materials or can be used standard cinema materials together with some "convert" nodes inside a node editor? Cann´t stop thinkink about it... :-)

Hi Mike, It will be a challenge to "beat" success of XParticles, but it looks really, really amazing. Looking on screenshots must say huge amount of work was made on this project. Great job guys...
