You can disable selection for everything in viewport by Select/Selection Filter/None or restrict only on nulls, splines, polyobjects etc. Or as I said, disable all, but create Selection Object first, add objects inside what you want to access in viewport. This way cann´t be selected nothing in viewport, but opening Selection Object in Object Manager and clicking/selecting object from list you can manipulate in viewport... If I may ask, why you need this behaviour?

As it´s free then can be added to C4D also inbetween upgrade cycle (something like R18 BodyPaint update next year). Hope it will not be key feature for next releases (maybe in case of 100percent support of native c4d materials)...

While RGB mode (used by script) is additive color mode, all zero values means pure black color and all three values at 255 means white color... So, there isn´t too much for programming :-). Looking more carefully to script, first definition part create random color/vector from three values, but if all values keep same number, they are represented as degree shade of grey...Randomness is created for first value (R) and other two has simply same value. In attached picture are marked differencies in scripts...

or simple shader effector... shader_effector.zip btw, script from safina3d is really nice, there´s a reason why not use it? Producing B and W colors there´s only question of 2 added lines of code...

You can use free script from safina3d... http://safina3d.blogspot.sk/2012/05/randomcolor-script.html If you copy whole script and paste in python tag on group of your objects, colors will be changed everytime something change in the scene (timeline also) If you need only white-black colors, simply edit script...

You can´t delete built-in presets, but you can delete your own. Open Content Browser and navigate to Presets/User/Spline Preset and delete single preset (or whole Spline Preset folder if you want)

Did you install in installation c4d plugins folder or preference folder? If don' t work in installation folder, try to install to preference plugins folder. In main menu open Edit/ Preferences/ Open preferences folder...then navigate to plugins folder and paste there...
