  2. Thanks for giving it a shot and I'm with you. So unexpectedly frustrating that I've wasted an entire weekend on this. Really thought the state_float set to BV would've done it. Have a post up on the Arnold Answers board. Looks like Lee is on the case so fingers crossed.
  3. Thanks for giving it a shot Cerbera. The reason I didn't generate geometry was due to dynamics, volume of hair (50k) and a 12-15x render time increase across a dozen renders. Your workaround, coupled with this method of baking dynamics could be a good fallback solution, but hair volume still a concern.
  4. I've tried everything to get this texture to stick on the attached animated mohawk. Using Arnold StandardHair, I've tried exporting UVs, state_float (bv) > ramp_rgb, triplanar projection set to "pref", "Render via Hair Render Effect"...you name it. Project file if anyone wants to give it a go. Thanks,
