  1. blender is free for a reason. there is no support, they can break compatibility, drop a feature, not document stuff, translate or resolve major bug, basically they can do as they like, there is zero safety there to lean onto if you are a professional. whenever you see fast development, rest assured that is rushed, poorly tested and code is likely not refactored and optimized. Last time I tried it I failed to miss what the hype is, it was terrible. from my pov on C4D, Maya and Houdini are complete 3D packages. hate AD for what they did to xsi so no Maya, Houdini is too techy td tool with long turnaorund times, and C4D snapped right away
  2. everyone forgive me but this give me a chuckle : ) They left to make better lightwave and ended up doing same mistake. it is also true that people are hyping up blender a lot, same as Brad hyped up Modo, wonder how that will end
  3. Hello I would need recommendation for particle training set if one exists? All that I found online is tutorial here and there but nothing structured. scenes in content browser are great but there is no learning options out there? thanks

    Very nice!!- I love Corsair products, have few things from them in my rig. It is really odd how many members here work at awesome companies yet this info is mostly unknown. For example, I found out only recently that one moderator works at Maxon and one other member works at SETI.

  14. hello all I would need to create a rig where circle curve is made from any 3 points. Searched the forum and there is nothing like it and web search is giving me some complicated math or code which is way beyond me. maybe there is a simple solution? thanx
  15. @Hrvoje hope you don't mind answering here, but outline spline cant be used as object? only node? there is a point modifier also which can't be placed in object manager. Can you maybe make a small example - thanx

  17. I was in the same boat. The videos are stellar and it is baffling that Maxon has practically no videos on nodes, a shame really. How does Maxon expect for nodes to become popular? this is exaclty type of content they should have or support making
  18. sorry, i respectfully disagree. there is simply no way objects in manager can have better overview of all connections and dependencies which are within objects. There is a reason why nodes are used in premium particle apps. don't get me wrong, i love the new stuff just seeing missed opportunity here. i also would want to have fields as nodes too. at the moment it looks like there are two apps within one fighting each other and divide between them is widening.
  19. congratulation to Maxon on the release, looks packed. there is something though that is not clear to me. why are the particles not nodes? (can they be?) it would be way better and easier to work in the nodes with the conditions, groups etc. so I am curious why nodes are not used since they are new tech apologies if they can be nodes but videos don't show it

  24. That was a nice rad, your characters are fantastic. Love the hl2 Freeman, reminds me of when i was young gamer! Also, I'm jelaous because my talents are not what yours are and daily work drains me, but this is really inspiring. Can you please post wire shots? do you sketch your characters?
  25. Nodes look really slick and powerful. Bad thing is that there is no training course for them at all. There was some available before but it is not avialable anymore. Good update alltogether
