  5. What's the logic behind renaming that doesn't allow C4D to link to the correct textures ? Have you tried Reload Image ?
  6. Seems you've eliminated all shortcuts from the list. Next best thing is to move to Real-time Rendering in Unreal... Maybe a screenshot of your scene could give us more ideas.

  9. Are the first and last frame of the animation the same as the viewport simulation ? If you disable Motion Blur in Physical, will you still experience the same problem ?
  10. For 10 minutes straight he didn't even once considered to turn the polygons of the sphere to minimum. Even setting the Viewport Mode in Cloner as Points would have better viewport feedback. Trying to build a granular simulation system using polygons is just wrong. Weird that Point Cloud is not documented in the online help. Also weird that Point Cloud has a blue/white icon in contrast to all other orange capsules or green generators...

  12. I can't test your project as I work in R23. Indeed, you cannot use the Field Force to influence the speed if you are using it to influence the direction. So what I did was to just duplicate the Field Force and set the copy to Add to Velocity, you can then change the speed from Strength. Although my test was done with particles it might as well work with Pyro. But there is one unsolvable barrier with this method: How would you control the variable speed of debris ? As I see it you can end up having a smoke with a constant speed but debris of variable speeds resulting in smoke surpassing some parts and hard to catch up with others .... One question though... Why didn't you just apply the Pyro to the fragments ?

  16. I've seen this in R23 too. It might not be a significant bug as splines don't render but in my case I did have to render it using the S&T and it drove me crazy.
  17. Νο. In order to do that you'd need to fit your texture inside the einstein tile in a certain way that would repeat no matter how the einstein tile will be positioned next to itself. In other words you'd need a second einstein tile to fit inside the first einstein tile. (if you want it to look seamless that is) C4D already has a non-repetitive way to tile textures (probably faster than any polygonal tiling method) and it's called Scatter Node.   20. Poly is a new web-based AI-driven texture generator. It is a text-to-image AI that will produce a material based on a prompt and an available Style preset. It needs about 30 seconds to generate a texture. The result will be previewed on a 3D sphere object along with the corresponding Ambient Occlusion, Albedo, Normal, Roughness and Height maps ! You can use Poly to upload and edit your own images and make them Seamless, Upscale them or even produce Normal, Height, Roughness and AO maps using AI. The app is free to use but the subscription plan lets you choose more styles and unbounds you from the maximum 2K resolution to up to 8K.

If you are into these things I recommend taking a look at papers from Bridges - Mathematical Connections in Art, Music and Science You can use the MoSpline to create aperiodic patterns. So far the aperiodic monotile has no L-system. I tried the Penrose tiling here penrose tiling.c4d A couple of years ago I had a small talk about new tiling features regarding the Cloner object with Rick Barrett, he found the ideas interesting and said he would consider a similar implementation on their new system (referring to the later released Neutron Project AKA SceneNodes). Theoretically you can use the classical Cloner to create any pattern of mixed polygons if their center can be laid on a regular square grid. But non-repetitive tiling is trickier and each case is governed by it's own rules so I don't think there is a way to create such patterns natively in C4D. I would use other apps as helpers to export to C4D like InkScape or VisionsOfChaos (actually I take my Penrose tiles from Ready).
  23. That would mean they have to create their own training data for their neural network. If that was an easy task then most popular AI apps would do that but as far as I know the original AI training data computer scientists used to create the first AI image generators (2015-2020) were low-res, not big enough and the results were shitty. Once they figured they could just harvest the internet DALL-E. DreamStudio, NightCafe and dozen others spawned out. The worse part is that AI is heavily hardware-dependent. Saying that AI is property of NVIDIA wouldn't be an understatement. And most online AI generators use Google's servers to generate their images, they just provide an easy interface and their "own" AI. There's no way MAXON will create any infrastructure housing NVIDIA GPUs just for an AI service. Any online AI service plan will lead to a payment per image, and most people using C4D don't want any additional costs. I haven't seen any decent free AI image generator, they all require payment for good resolutions and quality.
