  1. Can't this be done with classic bone rigging ?
  2. I have a simple solution. The key concept is "discrete". If your model moves in discrete distances your shadows will also move in discrete distances. If you have a moving light source then that light source should move in discrete distances. We essentially convert the animation to a stop-motion format without dealing with frame rate. This leads to other problems though... I know there is a way to make a voxelated object that moves discretely in space using the Cloner. (If you don't know how to do this let me know) What I don't know, is how to make the light source move discretely in space. If you do want that and don't know how to do it we can summon someone expert on this. One more problem you should solve is positioning your light source in a certain way to have the shadow fall exactly parallel to your wall without spreading (I think the parallel spot is what you are looking for) - you may want to switch to Hard Shadows. Maybe make the shadows more transparent. You can duplicate the light and position it bit next to the first one (it is up to you to find the exact distance so it coincides with the voxel size) with a different shadow opacity to make a penumbra shadow effect.
  3. If I understand correctly, your problem is not the pixelated shadow itself but the discrete way it is supposed to be projected on the wall. Am I right ?
  4. Isn't the same if the render resolution is low and use a video editing software to resize the video ? (could speed up the rendering process)
  5. Animcraft 2.1 is available for 64-bit Windows 10+. Linux and macOS version are coming “soon”. The integration plugins support 3ds Max 2016+, Blender 2.81-2.83, Cinema 4D R20-22, Maya 2016+, Unity 2017+ and Unreal Engine 4.23+. The software is rental-only, and costs $199/year per node-locked licence; $259/year per floating licence. link read more here: CGchannel
  6. Lead graphic vendor on this highly anticipated fourth edition of The Matrix franchise, Studio C, the creative offering of Compuhire Ltd, created the visual language, graphic UI and content for on-set playback and post delivery. The Matrix Resurrections spanned two years, including a Covid-related shut down, and was Studio C’s biggest project to date. The main tools in the motion design pipeline included Cinema 4D, Redshift, X-Particles, Adobe After Effects and Creative Suite, and Unity, Blender, Substance Painter. Rhino and Sketchup were also used for refining and converting CAD elements supplied by the Art Department. 8. Chaos and Enscape are to merge. The private equity-led deal unites the developers of three of the most popular renderers in the arch viz market: V-Ray, Corona and Enscape. All of both firms' existing products remain in development. 9. For a moment I thought the rocks where on top of each other but they intersect 😒 recently found this but it's not with nodes: https://www.facebook.com/marcio.lpinheiro.71/videos/1232222323938528/?__cft__[0]=AZUTAC2bsPLSwKZk76bAJ38XS1L1gEThbOovax-LgID3n5ULE6ddqofjnZd9f5wV_Uo_DzlsXUGCSrdydAxCqlxiAXFRS_HfO4VD53cEnqD0R7PAYVC9eDKlBHZnQKu7k9PpIs-XCNQh8q0iqLbLTF0k1O2YD64WImV2AlT4-0VH3Q&__tn__=%2CO-R

  11. I think this type of motion is relatively easy with XPresso.
  12. Had to ask 'cause usually a concept art made to serve as a 3D modeling blueprint is usually drawn in top-view, side-view and even maybe from front-view for faster and correct modelling.
  13. The video explains what file format and material format Omniverse uses.
  14. Did you do the concept art by yourself ?
  15. I always thought the form to be a bunch of softbody petals made from splines but everyone tries to recreate it using a displacer...
  16. I would love that. I thought the weights were denoted from the handles distance from the spline node... Today I learned that there is also a T-spline... very interesting stuff. I think we need a script that will enable us to stretch/shrink the length of the tangent of a spline node without changing it's orientation. I've tried Ctrl, Shift and Alt and they don't do the trick.
  17. As their description says : From the moment I read "platform" I mediately assumed it's an online service so it had to do with some kind of NVIDIA render farm... BUT I can't find any billing for using such service. From their demos it doesn't even seem to be a physical raytrace but a real-time rendering like U-render in C4D. Can't find any minimum hardware requirements either, so I'm still not sure if the platform is using NVIDIA's servers processing power or if it uses the client's hardware.
  18. Can someone explain to me why all bibliography about Bezier curves seem to describe the construction differently of what we see in our graphic applications ? for example: in apps like C4D or Corel we don't see the intermediate green dot but the black one. In the bibliography the black dot defines the curve but when we edit the curve it's the opposite. Actually the example (and bibliography) is more closely related to a B-spline where the control points and the final curve don't intersect. And how did the term "spline" came to be? is it a sp(ace)line ?
  19. This is amazing ! What a great honor to hear from the animator himself ! What about the moment where he jumps to hi-5 the little girl and generally when the size difference is too big ? Does Camilo shrink or just bend his knees up his body to get smaller in size, and levitate a bit before he morphs into a taller character ? Does that mean that the characters that where meant to be doubled by Camilo where all sculpted from the same generic mannequin ?
  20. It's Win11. But if ERICNS does not see it it's OK 'cause I'm still in R25.015.
  21. I think I've found a bug: On any Fields tab, create a Step or Time Field Layer. Under Contour, Contour Mode select Curve. If you right-click on the Spline Graph and select Show in Separate Window... the new window is blank. Can anyone confirm ?
  22. I randomly stumbled upon this article : DeviantArt Protect: 80,000 NFT Alerts Sent DeviantArt Protect now scans over 3.8 million new NFT images every week, and since the addition of NFT protection in August 2021, over 80,000 alerts regarding potential NFT infringement have been sent. https://www.deviantart.com/team/journal/DeviantArt-Protect-80-000-NFT-Alerts-Sent-902819882?fbclid=IwAR2MhPaeZ7BjQVNVTGiVhEQxAxv4oSSxgTi9whmHrh2a1Ozbw3rK4YM3W5c Apparently there are bots that steal images and sell them as NFTs filling the pockets of crooks. Is your favorite platform secure against this kind of threat ? And even without a dedicated bot, someone can very easily steal an image, feed it in an AI image enhancer, pass it through PS to make some lighting/color adjustments and just sell it. Who is going to notice if the image isn't that popular ?
