  1. Fantastic work! I will give it a try.
  2. Looks much better than the previous version.
  3. Will do! Life keeps getting in the way, but I hope to check it out soon.
  4. Just found Metatailor! Looks like a good match. I will give it a try. https://metatailor.app
  5. I have used Marvellous Designer for a few years to add clothing to my characters. It’s a fantastic tool and generates very detailed outfits. But it’s also quite complex. So, I checked out a new Blender plugin called Divine Cut. It takes a much quicker approach, skipping patterns and sewing. It’s more like intelligent lofting with physics built in. But I’m not sure it’s good enough. Did anyone try it? Or have you found some other tool to create clothes?
  6. Cool! Is it possible to try out somewhere?
  7. Looks very nifty! Reminds me of Marvelous Designer’s 2d pattern view.
  8. Good idea! I will give it a try. Moving the render cam instead of the default cam is my most common mistake in projects. Easy to fix, but still frustrating.
  9. Very impressive! If tools like this hold up we might skip regular renders eventually.
  10. Very cool! Somehow it reminds me of when Windows was first released to “hide” the programming interface ; ) It would have been easier if Unreal was user-friendly out of the box.
  11. No, I haven’t tried merging. I rarely use it, but I’ll give it a try. Thanks : )
  12. I imported a 3d-scanned model - looking just fine - but when I copy/paste it into a complex project scene, the UV textures get messed up and seem impossible to fix. What am I missing here? My understanding of UVs is quite limited. I also tried to copy/paste the project scene to the file with the 3d-scanned object. It caused all the UV textures to get messed up, except for the scanned object.
  13. The Grove was already on my list, with the new release it’s irresistible : ) But I wonder if Corona Render will get the new Open Image Denoise?
  14. I’ve been using pCloud for backups and finished projects and it has worked really well. But in the last year I’ve used my iCloud account more and more as I was already paying for more space there. It’s been very fast and reliable. I keep an additional backup on a Thunderbolt disk as well - transfer speeds are insane : )
  15. Yes, great pointers to buttons I’ve never dared to try out! Keep them coming.
  16. I was also a happy LW user for many years. But after the Modo team left, new features were few and far between. Let’s hope this change of hands turns into a new start.
  17. Just joined the waiting list.
  18. I read about a good ivy generator for Blender recently, but I don’t remember what it’s called. Exporting the result to C4d should be straightforward.
  19. Well, at least Adobe didn’t train the AI on artists’ copyrighted material without paying for it. I think AI is fantastic in many ways, but the unsolicited training/copyright thing is just plain wrong.

    Looks really good : )
  21. Good to hear. I’ll give it a try. Maybe it can motivate me to improve my modelling skills.
  22. Good work! I haven’t tried patterns yet, but I’ve used scatter on two projects recently. And I was really impressed. Despite running everything on my old Macbook Pro, I had no problems creating entire forests, fields of wild grass and a few hundred crows - all in the same scene. Viewport slowdown was minimal and render times remained almost the same. Deeply impressive. If patterns are built on the same technology, I will be a very happy man. (Sorry if this comes across as Corona marketing. Not my intention. But I’ve been truly blown away by the scatter performance).
  23. I wonder how it compares - in quality and speed - to the new sky tool in Corona? Anyone tried both?
