  1. The latest updates should be available to subscription and current MSA holders. It was announced that later in year a full release will be available to perpetual holders for upgrade path. Currently non-MSA perpetual users know their upgrade path for the year, but the price is not known. Do active MSA holders have to hope the next upgrade is released before their MSA expires? This doesn't make sense.
  2. That was a nice surprise appearance for sure 👍 Just caught Andy Needham and Sasha Vinogradova's presentations this evening . Andy's was good to show some Python in action. I know there's a couple of C4D Python courses on Ciniversity so would be good to revisit that at some stage. He also posted up a link to Cinema 4D Slack channel he runs - https://c4dpython.slack.com/join/shared_invite/zt-55t645lh-CMpxcqGvwVDvEt7xxQS7Zg Also mentioned a Python tutorial he followed on FXPHD - https://www.fxphd.com/details/339/ Sasha's presentation...WOW. Seriously impressive use of the 2D photo projection onto 3D model from Zbrush. Just see her website and can see the serious skills - http://www.sashavinogradova.com/ Tomorrow's line-up kicking off with the Covid presentation "Technology for creators working remotely"
  3. I skipped the first presentation today but saw Veronica Falconieri's. That was super impressive medical illustration techniques she went through. Definitely one I'll be watching again.
  4. Here for reporting bugs? https://support.MAXON.net/open.php
  5. Excellent stuff from Bryan Coleman with the 8K moon texture. RocketLasso doing bonus stream now
  6. Hashi's presentation was intense. Some serious AE ground covered in that one.
  7. Angie Feret presentation was very good. I like her example for the Sonic FUI. The Moves by MAXON example was pretty good. Nice to see the link up in XPresso. Can see some good uses for it. I don't use iPhone so won't be delving into that unless some Android version is released down the line.
  8. I'm liking the pre-recorded presentation and live Q&A format so far
  9. Fantastic presentation from Andrew Kramer. Loved the breakdown of the scene. Can't wait to see Nebula be released.
  10. School of Motion just uploaded new features of S22
  11. Anyone see Andrew Kramer's Instagram clip? Looks really great, maybe he'll discuss it during his talk. Power in my area has been down about an hour.... hopefully it's back in time for the presentations 🤞
  12. I've cleared my evenings next week to watch live! As for announcements, my guesses: Updated version of Bodypaint with bells and whistles. Indie licenses. RedShift replace the Prorender. Additional post FX tools or something that incorporate some of the Red Giant tech.
  13. Before subscriptions MAXON did big discounts every few years. I upgraded from R15 to R20 during a 40% off promotion period. Since then, the only 'discounts' I'm aware of are for perpetual license holders to convert to subscription. There is a slightly lower price for the 1 year subscription. Or if your maintenance is still valid you can convert over to a 2 year subscription for a lower price. (this is the case for the UK/Ireland regions) They might announce some lower 12 month subscription promotion at the C4Dlive next week. Then again, they might not.
  14. Insydium do discounts pretty frequently. They're opening up access to their maintenance training for 2 weeks on each of the lessons because of covid. MAXON currently giving 1 month free access to Ciniversity for all users because of the covid too.
  15. I like the Insydium maintenance approach where there's a 12 month reactivation period at the same price as when maintenance is still active. Then after that there is another 12 months 'last chance' period at a higher fee to renew. If the maintenance is not renewed in either of those periods you then would have to pay full amount. If the customer chooses to renew during one of the reactivation periods, it renews from the end date of when the last maintenance expired.
  16. 1 - Maintaining Perpetual licensing - Real monthly subscription where pay per month 2 - I'm looking forward to the UV announcement. Well that's me guessing there'll be some announcement about that given Dave's cryptic tweet a while ago. 3 - Some early indications of workflow integration between Red Giant & MAXON 4 - Further integration of RedShift - even though i mainly use team render / octane I'm interested to see how RedShift progresses 5 - Mind meld between user and C4D where if I think it in my brain it will just appear in the viewport... with perfect geometry. If this can't be done then the obvious ones of performance improvements, feature improvements, bodypaint update, etc.
  17. Trapcode Particular was the first plugin I bought for After Effects many years ago so Red Giant will always have a special place in my heart 🥰 I love their trapcode suite and they're super helpful with any questions I've had for them in the past. I didn't sign up for their subscription as I don't need access to everything, just the few standalone plugins is what I've being using. Look forward to see what kind of things this merger brings in the future.
  18. Anyone catch these? Love this style Love seeing behind the scenes too.
  19. Just got to update today. Thanks a million @RBarrett and MAXON! Very much appreciated.
  20. It was a good open discussion on the pricing changes, some features and how they might impact different people from differing backgrounds. Much more clarity than trying to scan through posts and tidbits of information on the web. Your response to the guy reporting the error only cracked versions get was golden 😂 I was just online for an hour or so of it so unless you went shooting crazy from the hip after that 🤪. I don't think there was anything anyone would be upset about 👍 Will watch the remainder over the weekend!
  21. Previous versions did have the anonymous stats option. Just there was a checkbox to uncheck for opting out from a prompt. It can be changed in some of the preferences. It usually appeared after an installation, but it did pop up at random times in R20 iirc.
  22. I too would like this and what everefresh' suggests. Along with the ability to dock within the layout. When click on the additional CV tutorial which would then open into a browser window.
  23. From R14/R15 & R20 I had my layout with 3 tabs. I have two monitors and a lot of the time I'll be following tutorials on the second monitor. When coming to something in a tutorial it was super hand having the Help tab go straight to what I Right Clicked on within C4D. Having the tutorial window overtaken in the browser wouldn't be a nice user experience for myself right now.
