  1. Cheers, I missed that. Distracted by the 5G.
  2. Maybe the confusion in this thread was someone mentioned keeping R21 along with the S22 + discount if you've got MSA. This isn't the case at all. License is converted from R21 to S22 but you will be able to access R21 as it's included in the subscription. I think up to 3 previous versions of whatever the current version is will be accessible when on subscription. Speak to your reseller to convert to subscription and avail of discount if you have a valid MSA. Get the additional 30% applied during the time of the deal to get that bit extra off. That's all there is to it.
  3. Only caught the entire Anthony Abbott Talos presentation. It was excellent. RedShift > Substance > C4D > AE. It's great these type of presentations are going to be a monthly thing for a while. Summer Sale announced for June 23rd to June 26th (72 hours) with 30% discount on annual subscriptions and Redshift licenses. This includes new Redshift perpetual license too. There will be a code released to apply on the 23rd. https://www.MAXON.net/en/news/MAXON-news/article/coming-soon-our-30-off-blowout-summer-sale/
  4. Or you can buy it to own (at least at the moment you can).
  5. This is really super helpful, thank you! When I'm using team render I have them all render to local drives rather than render to one of the cloud drives. Although I think OneDrive works similar to Dropbox where you can set it to always have a file available local, on demand or clear it out.
  6. Ah I create a copy at the project location which seems to do the trick. I've noticed when I place a reference image into the project (Viewport Configure > Back tab > Image) I don't get the prompt to create a copy at the project, which I have to reload that between machines. The one downside is when I'm deleting the tex folders at the end, it'll lose those paths, but maybe on final version I'll do a save with project with assets for archiving.
  7. Does anyone keep their working files "in the cloud" on something like OneDrive or Dropbox and switch between different machines to work from? I've only started doing it to go between a PC and Laptop but so far these are basic projects I'm working off. For more heavy projects do you think the working files based in the cloud would impact performance of the project? I was copying the files locally to SSD's but then forgetting to re-upload it, then just kept them on cloud. Seems to be OK with no noticeable affect, but very simple projects. Wondering if large textures would struggle or slow performance.
  8. Keep posting in the thread that you're complaining exists in the forum. Can simply choose not to post in a Blender thread.
  9. A simple solution is create more C4D related threads for discussion so they appear on top.
  10. To be fair it's under 3D General Discussion? Maybe there's a bit of fatigue from Blender getting mentioned in different threads, but there are not many Blender threads here.

    The end of MSA

This is the email I received from UK distributor just before my MSA expired. I'm going to upgrade the perpetual rather than switch over to subscription (well, if I have the cash saved by then). There's a discounted 1 year and 2 year subscription if you convert your R21 perpetual.

  13. Looks interesting but early days as it's still in Alpha. Competition is healthy for users regardless. They say it's a 12 month subscription which can transfer to perpetual... Would certainly be nice to have a release date for new version of TFD.

  15. MAXON knocked it out of the park this week . A real credit to everyone involved that made it happen! So many great streams with golden nuggets of info. The Q&A’s after the presentations were super engaging. Got a great buzz whenever my own questions were getting asked! The pre-recorded format at least removed the chance of unexpected glitches occurring, while also allowing the presenters get their full presentations across. The whole experience was seamless. Some mention of mograph.com guys doing the switching of the streams? Beeple’s stream was hilarious ending to a really great week! Obviously with the physical locations not accessible, it is a different style to the live on-location format. Maybe this has opened a new way of customer engagement with further reach than in years previous. Compared to previous years, this year was easily the best (from an online customer anyways). Loved seeing the Red Giant stuff and cant’ wait to see how some possible future integration takes shape.
  16. Last day! There have been some exceptional presentations so far this week. The three that I'm hoping to catch today Nidia Dias, Kelcey Steele & Stu Maschwitz.
  17. Great, looking forward to listen to some of these 👍
  18. The Q&A with Lucasz was great with Rick Barrett going through the technique using Fields.
  19. I skipped the first presentation about remote access but just caught Lukas Wieczorek presentation. That was super informative and nice to see XPresso & Python getting some good airtime. Enjoyed it a lot.
  20. MSA isn't free, it is paid for. Users with MSA are right to expect an update to the software included with their MSA IMHO
