  1. That look really good Cerbera! Is that using the new cloth engine in c4d 2023? What's cool in Marvelous Designer is being able to grab any part of the ribbon rather than just one end.
  2. Thanks for that, but I checked out the free trial of Marvelous Designer and all I can say is WOW! Drew a long thin rectangle in the 2d pattern window, checked solidify on the cloth properties, pressed simulate and dragged the ribbon around in the 3d window. Remeshed to quads and exported to c4d. So easy!
  3. I'm trying to create a length of silk ribbon, loosely arranged on a surface for a product render. I've tried a rectangle and bezier spline inside a sweep nurbs, and I've tried using a helix spline with the rectangle in a sweep nurbs, then using cloth dynamics to make it fall onto a surface. Neither method is getting me what I want so far. Has anyone accomplished something similar and have any ideas? I'm wondering whether the task would be simpler in Marvellous Designer? I also found a ribbon rigging tutorial for Maya that looks like it might work, could a similar technique be used in c4d? The ribbon needs to look realistic in the way it lies, loops and bends.
  4. I need a reasonably simple character created. It's a football mascot, a two legged dog that has a small human type body. A West Highland terrier. It doesn't necessarily need to be rigged, but I'd like to be able to pull and bend it's limbs into basic positions. It will need to be furry and have some facial hair. PM me with an idea of what you might charge, and I'll send you some reference.
