I think I may have found the issue. Tell me if this is the best way thought 🙂
I set the animation mode to loop in the transform in the cloner.
Then I set the deformer animation to loop back on itself - so the start and end points were the same.
And it's kinda working.
I hope this can be of some use to you guys as I looked everywhere for a solution.
