  1. without a scene file it is hard to tell ...
  2. it is a payed plugin , and probably the code is protected . the only way is to contact the developer and ask him (for extra $) to add those features for you .
  3. he has a full post about more of these renders in CGsociety (around 2 months ago ) , and it is really amazing ...
  4. and you can get the houdini indie engine for free https://www.sidefx.com/get/houdini-store/#indie

very nice :) but it would look better if you reduced the black dots intensity and add some blur to the reflection
  6. it is better to ask in PluginCafe , there is more developers there who can help you
  7. I know HB modellling bundle is great , but my script is doing different thing , my script is less controllable and more , and more automated .
  8. wow , houdini is really amzing , it have ton of stuff , but the learning curve is very steep and it require hell amount of hardware... lol
  9. [UPDATE] -Hold shift key when you click the script icon to disable Align clones option -Now the loft object have the same amount of segments in the Isoparms mode --------------------------------------- [ NEXT UPDATE] (no timeline yet ) -add undo/redo support -add the ability to use custom profile spline - make the script work without the Mograph module (if there is enough people interested ) -------------------------------------- check the link above for the updated file
  10. Hello , I have made a script to help retopology a model , you can see the tut to see it in action . I will make a proper introduction video later , and sorry for all the modelling mistakes in the video ! for me it is hard to focus while talking if you have any question /feature request / or bug report please let me know , and I would be happy to see what I can do about it :) I appreciate your feedback the script require you to have the MoGraph module , so it can use the cloner object . Also save your project before using it ! and there is no Undo/Redo for the script at the moment , so just delete the result mesh if you want to change something . here is the download link : https://github.com/maliohammad/EasyRetopo and here is the video tut : (I will ad the future videos here in the first post when they are available )
  11. yeah , this a great app , and it is very fast ... and it is very cheap compared to photoshop (without subscriptions )
  12. if you want some noise , then just decrease the render quality :)
  13. really nice work :) btw , why the video is private ? if you make it public , more people will see it
  14. nice work , but the part where the lights split needs some adjustment , it seems too sudden . also does your materials have reflection ? if they have then an HDRI would help , and you can blur it in photoshop
  15. really cool , but if you spend more time making the materials it will look great ! :)
  16. the problem is I don't intend to use any external renderer , and if it happens , then I will choose Arnold and now I knew why most z-brush videos using key shot , the price difference is huge
  17. yes , when I watched the video you linked in the blog , I saw how great those features are ! if 3d coat don't have similar features , then I would go for z-brush , because my main reason to use a sculpting app is to get the complete freedom . yes , I can deal with the topology in c4d , it is not a problem (I was training with few examples earlier ) if you use the reflectance channel only , and the physical renderer with progressive mode , you will get incredibly fast preview , which is great and combined with interactive render region , it is super fast (you can see GSG video about it ) thanks for your time ! :) I will think about it this weekend , and make my mind . Yes , I know how sculpting in c4d is nice , but what I need is features to allow me to sculpt from scratch with complete freedom .
  18. I would use it mainly for sculpting , but extra features would be nice . I have used c4d sculpting , and really like it . But I need another app to fill the gaps of c4d sculpting , like sculpting from nowhere , without any base meshes , something like z-spheres .
  19. well , I think it is good enough for what I am into , which is basic sculpting , because I still prefer the normal modeling and how you try to solve the triangles and poles to create nice mesh ...etc but is the normal sculpting faster than the voxel based ?
  20. the performance is acceptable , but the fan have to work on full speed . my ram is 8GB CPU: core i5 , dual core 2.8GHz up to 3.3 GHz GPU : intel iris pro
  21. nice job guys ! btw , is it normal that 3d coat use a lot of resources ? I mean the fan goes full speed after a some sculpting , is it because I am using the voxel sculpting , or does it need a lot of processing power in general ?
  22. very nice , but I dont know why , but I think the model is too shiny compared to the footage
  23. thanks for the feedback :) what really made me consider 3d coat is a tut I found in youtube , in the tut 3d coat looked very similar to the sculpting layout in c4d , which make me feel at home . I will download the demo and check it :D
  24. Hello , I want to add a sculpting app to my workflow , I tried z-brush before , but the UI was a deal breaker for me .., so what do you think should I use , 3d coat or z-brush ? thanks for your time ! :)
