    FAQ

personally I think the search function is there for things like this , and even if someone made the FAQ posts , I am sure most people won't bother to read it and just ask the question again and again .
  2. Sure , it is better now :) I think the flag needs some more work in textures
  3. Personally I don't care if the " Asker " didn't ever bother to read the answer or say "thank you " as I am sure someday , someone will be searching the internet for his question and get my post which helps him , which makes me feel better , I go into this mind set especially when I am creating a video tut . There is another type of people that makes me laugh , when they ask a question , you answer .. a few seconds they say they had a problem ..etc then after they get the final solution they never come back or say anything , so I know they just find the answer and move on ... but there is a problem that happens to people without them meaning anything bad , which the "notify me of replies " is off by default , so someone might forgot to turn it on and thinks no one answered his question or replied to his post , this happened to me personally a few times , when I look at my posts I am like "Oh , there is 3 replies that I didn't know about !" usually I reply after that . so isn't it possible to turn the "notify " for the Topic poster by default ?
  4. to get thing starting , try to avoid 100% white , add some oranges or bluish tint (subtle , if it is too much it won't look nice ) this tut helped me a lot , so it might help you too :
  5. nice start for materials , but the lighting needs to be more defined to make it look nicer . overall very good job
  6. maybe after 24 hour of purchase purchase he got a friendly reminder as cafe notification to write a review ?
  7. this is amazing , just give it some nice materials and it would be disney quality model !
  8. the way blender is designed is very different than c4d , blender even have compositing features and game engine . I don't think MAXON will add such feature , or if they do so , not in the near future .
  9. Very nice work ! can you share a pic of the wireframe ? Looking forward for the final work :D
  10. I am not sure , but I think it is Point cloud . and yes , this can be very handy , especially with snapping
  11. it is not a problem , you would make the null movement change the slider of pose morph
  12. maybe you can use pose with UV mode , and animate the UV of the eye manually
  13. just watch a tutorial on how to rig human eyes and do that to the car . since the rig is not mechanical , using the normal human rig would work best
  14. Wow , Mind blowing ! I wonder why 3d companies don't add those features to their programs , sometimes I see a cool paper from 2012 , and not used yet by 3d apps
  15. no , you would just make condition to check if the previous fighting is similar to the new one and if they are not similar the script will do something
  16. you can use "if "conditions to limit the execution with something like this : if obj.pos != a number : do this
  17. both . if it is meant to be like this , then it is fine .
  18. so cool , is this sculpting or SDS modeling ? and can you share the isoparm wireframe (so the screen won't be filled with the subdivisions lines
  19. it seems good , but I couldn't complete it . the sound of the video makes me feel uncomfortable , maybe it is just me ...
  20. there is a compare node to check if the frame == the previous frame , then it won't change the value . so any viewport actions won't trigger the setup . comments help a lot , specially with programing . but sometimes people want to just finish it and make it work , and sometimes it is just the laziness :D
  21. you can always make a copy of the scene and delete every thing except the xpresso setup. just drag it on the viewport and when you click on its name it will be triggered (on/off)
  22. it is working for me , maybe you can share a scene file (with the userdata and a null object only ) so we can know what is causing the problem ?
  23. @jed thanks your very much , this explained a lot for me :) BTW , here is a file with almost the same concept as yours , but it have some comparison nodes so it won't run twice on the same frame . http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=47&t=1116327&page=3&pp=15 check the last file from tcastudios
  24. thanks , that almost drove me crazy ... I tried multiple methods and the problem is with the time node ? would it work if I used the current frame number multiplied by a number (maybe using a little python ) ? I don't think this is can be a problem , because when you render there is no viewport interaction , so every thing would work perfectly fine . I would check them , thanks for the tips :D
