Yes. Check out my Lego gallery here. Apart from the motorbikes it's all done in C4D.

Hours and hours of work. Bit of trial and error in some places until I was happy with the result. Usually plenty of N-Gons.

Both. The only things better in C4D are the Bevel tool and non destructive modelling i.e. splines with the likes of Extrude, Sweep etc.

I'd love to know whether Modo is easier or just more intuitive than Cinema when modelling. Both. The only things better in C4D are the Bevel tool and non destructive modelling i.e. splines with the likes of Extrude

Yeah all possible in C4D. This one was 25% approximately modelled with C4D. I then exported the parts to Modo.

    From the album: Lego

Modelled in Modo and Cinema 4D. About 25% Cinema. Textured and rendered in Modo.

  8. Done my main cycling event of the year and knocked 28 1/2 minutes off last years time for the 154km Lake Taupo Challenge. This year's time 4:37:37

  9. Pretty sure it can be disabled as we're not seeing Google +, Twitter and the others. Maybe I enabled Facebook sharing? I can't remember. In the ACP do a search on "Facebook" or "Social" or "Media". You should be able to find the setting to disable it.
  10. The Facebook and other social media stuff has been available for years. I just had it disabled. Looks like the new owner has enabled Facebook sharing only.
  11. In "Unread Content" clicking on the topic title takes you to the original post. Clicking on the dot to the left takes you to the first unread post which if you haven't read the topic before will be the first post. Not sure how much simplier things can be. My suggestion is viewing new content should be done like this rather than browsing forums.
  12. Re the issue with tablets. You'll be fine so long as you don't tinker too much with the basic default IPS skin. That has been designed to scale itself for the device being used.
  13. BTW, here's what I get on my tablet. Nigel
  14. On a tablet the new content results screen is mess using the default ibforo skin. You can test this on a desktop computer by running your browser in a window and shrinking it to 1024 pixels wide.

This is a combination of parts modelled in Cinema 4D and Modo. My guess is around 40% C4D. The wheels, shock absorbers, bricks and a few other parts are Modo. The engine parts (it's fully animated as well) are all C4D from my previous Lego projects. The tyre tread is done with Sub polygon displacement in Modo. The stickers and tyre displacement map were made by me using Serif Draw Plus, a cheap vector drawing program. Assembled and rendered in Modo 901.

I'm still tweaking the materials, lighting and render settings but it's near enough finished to post.

  19. Using the link button to insert a link with highlighted text isn't working with the Cafe Cinema 01 theme. Quite a nice theme and I prefer the blocks on the right hand side to having them on the left hand side as with the Cafe Cinema 02 theme. Looks like you're tinkering with the forum index page. Have fun
