  1. Woa great, wouldn't even now how to start on something like this. Is the tunnel geometry or a movie on a background if i may ask?
  2. Done quite a lot on the body armour today. Lots of rivets and small metal things. Only thing left to do on the armour is doing the shoulder guards with the buckles, perhaps a belt with small knives and a couple of pouches.
  3. Flat projection on a plane which in this case was the floor. I've looked it up but did it with displacement. You have to make sure that the plane or floor has enough poly's to support the amount of detail of the alpha material. Not an animation friendly scene anyway ;)
  4. Thank you! I was figuring out how to create the splashes and after trying to model it I decided that a simple alpha of a splatter with bump or displacement would do the trick just as well. Towel basemesh was created in Marvelous Designer, Retopo with Zremesher in Zbrush and textured inside C4D. Good luck making your scene :)
  5. Haha, and I was reading creep the whole time :PAnyway thanks man, I might have to look into 3D coat too, since i've heard more people praising the retopo tools in there.
  6. Hmm don't know about that, but I know with release R17 you can use the new spline tools for retopo in combination with the Holger Biebrach modelling bundle 2.1 so that makes it easier, looks a bit like the zremesher guides in Zbrush but with more control i think. I've heard good things about Modo too, just don't feel like learning a whole new package so lets hope for some retopo tools from MAXON ;)
  7. Thank you! Retopo was done with C4D R16, took a lot of time unfortunately. I hope retopo will be easier inthe future as it really interrups the creative process.
  8. Update of my character to see how everything looks. The lower body is completely done and the head too. At the moment working on the leather body armour. Still plenty to do like the wristguards, double shoulder pads, a thing around the neck and the gloves, oh and all kinds of buckles and straps. After that sculpting the folds in on the shirt in Zbrush and last but not least adding the hair through hair cards! Btw, the chest armour is based on the ones from the movie Last Knights with Clive Owen.
  9. Really nice mate! Love it how the light of the saber plays with the model. Only small thing that i would chsnge is making the iris bigger, but thats just taste i guess ;)
  10. Woa, nice man! Looking forward to see what you've got planned for the textures :)
  11. Hope everything's ok over there. Most of my familiy isliving in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland but haven't heared anything of them yet..
  12. Cloak is cool, Make it look like he threw the cloak away then :P
  13. And a couple of tattoo's on him like darth maul? haha well whatever you do, i look forward seeing them, good luck ;) Have you seen this Zsummit presentation. It's about the creation of those infinity characters, very interesting to watch them :)
  14. Have you checked out disney infinity star wars characters? maybe you'll get some inspiration from that.
  15. Looking sharp man! looking forward to see some colour on it!
  16. Just a test for baking the head and tried out some blood painting.
  17. I couldn't help putting some colour on the head since it was something that I was afraid to do sort of. Turned out pretty cool I think, also freaks me out a bit to look at myself like that. Finished the high and low poly of the sword. It was supposed to be a longsword but turned out to be something like a two handed since it has to be long enough to rest my hands on. Pants need to be retopo'ed. So still have to create the gloves, sweater, leather breastplate, a bodywarmer like shirt with a cape attached to it, a scabbard and some belts. Oh man, loads of work haha.
  18. So finished retopologizing yesterday and started creating the skin details like wrinkles and pores and such. Even added a wound or two. Now I have to start projecting my heads textures on the model and figure out how to create realistic hair cards. :D I got the retopo version slightly under 11K poly's. There a little much geo in the ears, couldn't get it lower.
  19. lol, no problem, thank for the tip! Got it working :)
  20. Thank you!! :D Good job on your African Boy project!
