  1. let me take a look at this for you :D
  2. as long as you match the amount of segments to the lower half, should be easy enough to bridge/stitch and sow together, although i would cut the bottom/move points around of the top section into roughly the shape the bottom section takes when it attaches to the top, then all you would need to do is select the dome part one its all connected and do a little inner extrude to give yourself a supporting edge to make that joining seam sharp
  3. looking fresh so far :D
  4. Setting blaster from, stun to kill....only joking it's always on kill:) to be fair it's not half bad, and there's no ugly shading going on due to ugly topo, that's also good. so yea no cake for you, on this occasion, but on the upside you're not dead:) * places blaster back on belt*

haha yea no one wants to be that big in real life :D
  6. it's cool bro just giving you a heads up :D
  7. Welcome to the the Community :D unfortunately advertising/requesting work is against cafe rules..
  8. I agree, i did consult with fellow IQP associate @Cerbera about some light hearted literature which would carve out a little more of a backstory to the IQP
  9. i also think there should be an IQP community support section for anyone who wishes to report any sightings/whereabouts of any rouge triangles across the galaxy
  10. That's made my evening :D
  11. oooh get vozzz with the apprentice :D
  12. It's just plain stupid to not have that function
  13. Ah man, for all the other features they've added, they've over looked something so painfully obvious -____- great work on keeping the cafe up and running through the update, just little things like that are so annoying especially when you've got 9 plus pages of attachments :D
  14. Igor is there any update to the attachment system in which you can delete multiple attachments at once ? it gets really tedious having to delete them one by one and every time you do you have to go back to the page you where on before

  17. I'm not sure if a ballbag hanging out the side of some boxer shorts is gonna cut it you know
  18. Ah yes I was meaning to mention something about the current IPS version. there seems to be a problem with the home page gallery at the top,it seems mine and Cerbera work has vanished, I'm sure this I'll get sorted in the update ;)
  19. Oooh yea that's nice. Looking good so far. Do you have any wire frames we could look at so we get an idea if the topology :D

Thank man, appreciate the kind words! I've actually quite enjoyed this one so far :D had a little down time from 3D (about a month) of not modelling anything so I'm surprised how quickly this one is coming together. Keep going man you will get there it's only a matter of time :)
  21. yea mate for sure, i have a burning desire to get things as close to the reference as possible, my main frustration was finding references images of good quality/resolution for the revenge of the sith version, i managed to find some on some forum of the actual movie version, and some more high res ones of a home build someone made that looked spot on to the original. i was planing to model the entire interior as well, which i may still do, i got as far as adding the details to the top of the dome section and the little radiator grill and linkages on the outside, although you can't see these in the pics, And that sounds awesome, make sure you make a wip thread!
  22. Ha! Thanks man was a fun project if not a little stressful.

Thanks man :D haha, trust me it's taken a good 3 years to get to where i am now, and that was pretty much practicing everyday living like a hermit before work, after work, weekends etc :D it's paid off though as now i don't really even need to think about how i'm going to model something i kind of just see it as i'm doing it, if that even makes sense :D i don't even have to plan anything out any more, i just know that when it comes to attaching the arms for example no matter what segment count each part has i know i can attach it no problem, it's as if i'm one with the force! only kidding yea basically just a ton of days and nights sat in front of the computer. I've neglected pretty much every other area, to prioritise modelling so now im playing catch up with everyone else. if i had any advice id say learn/model every thing low poly with sub d it's awesome! you're gonna make me blush ;) im pretty chuffed with the fat feet, only the second time ive built feet, and fat ones are pretty fun! i've a cupboard of virtual medals, but you've got a bunch of first place ones i wouldn't mind taking off your hands :D
