  1. HAHA, Glad you like it Phil. the reflection is actually an hdri, ( really it's a secret facility, located somewhere in the super confidential maxon underground bunker !
  2. one wire frame , albeit a tad late 😄
  3. maybe make the eye shape less rounded, bring the inside upper lid towards the corner, down a little so they're a bit less rounded, and increase the height of the outside corners, something like the example. Generally the less rounded and more angular the eye, the more "evil" it looks, you could also add an additional loop at the base of the eye, to sharpen the base of the lid and make it more pronounced. i'd also add a bit more bulge to the bottom lid ( yellow line ) which should give him less of the friendly look.
  4. No problem! you could still do it how you did before, but you'd probably need to lower the density of the eyelids a bit, and fix the poles at either end of the eye corners. still i think it looks alot cleaner if its all one mesh 🙂 Ha yea! back in the day before they implemented that we used to use the points to circle script, or using something like a disk with snapping enabled , or bevelling a point. i still use the bevelling point bethod occasionally 😄
  5. Hey Gazz, not as much work as you might imagine, you could lower the topo on the head some to make it easier, otherwise you could select some polys where the eyes are currently do an inner extrude, then fit circle command, then delete the selected polys and shape to your liking. which will essentially give you some nice oval/circular holes where the eyes are currently, delete the old eyes, loop select and extrude to bring out a ring of new polys to start forming your new eye lids, extrude a couple more times and shape as necessary. should end up with something like whats pictured below, you can add/remove loops around the eyes as necessary for a clean deformation. topo along these lines should be good, might need another loop or 2 around the base between the eye and the nose in the event of it distorting the area where the nose attaches near the inner eye, hope this helps some , V p.s you can also add some more diagonal loops near the corners of the eyes if you want to sharpen them up a little, more like your existing eye shape.
  6. wires in coming !
  7. Thank you so much man ! HA ! of course man i'll dig out some wire frames/ clays !
  8. Finally got around to slapping some materials on this droid head i modelled a while ago !
  9. thanks bro! pretty happy with how it turned out !
  10. What's up guys, back with another 2d to 3d translation.
  11. What's up guys! Huion were kind enough to send me a tablet screen to test out, and Brussel here was the ned result, He's a lowly sprout and last piece of food in the fridge. Poor brussel, it's not your fault you're disgusting and everyone hates you ! ( sad face ) really tried to nail that "cinematic" feel with this one, If i had to do it again i'd probably remove the water drips in the background, feed back welcome !

I have an unhealthy relationship with fruits and vegetables 😉 ah yes i really should post some ! your eyes in fact do not deceive you, there is indeed some creases on the joints there, however in this case they're intentional, as stylistically i wanted to accentuate the joints there. V

  17. hmmm interesting times. The rate at which these A.I based technologies are improving is insane. just comparing the latest version of mid journey to previous iterations, it's getting harder and harder to differentiate. while modelling is obviously more complex than creating a 2d image if the trend continuous i see very usable end results in the not too distant future, while this could end up being a useful tool to quickly iterate rough ideas it is a little worry in the grand scheme of things for people like me who model for a living.
  18. This doesn’t surprise me at all. I think due to the large amount of models on that site stuff tends to slip through the net and / or is ignored. As someone who regularly gets the their work stolen you can’t blame the manufacturers from cracking down on it.
