  2. Yea, close to a week to model texture and rig a model like that is excessive. Iโ€™d be looking at more like 3 days total. say no more than a day, 8-10 hours to make a model like this, maybe less if you have something already to work from. Detail wise it isnโ€™t overly complex, time may vary slightly depending on what approach you take for hair, Polygon vs actual hair/grooming etc. a good rigger would have that rigged up with a basic set up in half a day to a day quite easily, then a day for texturing and look dev. V

  13. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ just so youโ€™re aware itโ€™s DENSE, like 11 million subdivided polys dense. I built way too much detail into that thing. In hindsight I probably should have just textured the wing panels instead of modelling them, theyโ€™re the most Dense parts by far! I think some hang from the ceiling with some sort of arm things to hold them in place with a gangway going round , so the pilot can access the cock pit. Others I believe are stacked to the side of the docking bays and staggered almost like a set of stairs youโ€™d walk down. Haha we all know triangles are the real enemy ๐Ÿ˜‰ not to worry I know in particular how tedious it can get working with greebles and higher detailed models in general. Sometimes itโ€™s better to push forward to the end, for sake of sanity and revisit bits later on when youโ€™re happy with the end result. the interceptor took a month to build in pockets of spare time after work etc and I nearly didnโ€™t finish it so I know your pain! Looking forward to seeing the end result when youโ€™re finished ๐Ÿ˜„ V

The other Penny ad went live yesterday so i'm able to share the toon bus i was commissioned to design and model complete with basic interior ๐Ÿ˜„ pretty fun project to work on, link to final ad and project below as well as some wires and a few shots of the bus inside and out. Well luckily I didn't have to actually do any of the rigging but as far as topology goes it was simular to the way you'd make a limb in terms of segmentation and supporting edge loops, the parrot especially was rather tricky as the sculpted original mesh was several different meshes and these needed to to be all one continuous one.
  19. Thanks man, some of the meshes where quite challenging as they had to have the suckers incorporated into them too. Looking forward to sharing the other piece I was brought on for in a few weeks ๐Ÿ˜„

Something for our German friends ๐Ÿ˜„ part of a project I worked on for Aixsponza studios, the other stuff I worked on is airing later this month ๐Ÿ˜„ was responsible for retopo/remodelling a majority of the sculpted characters into lower poly riggable assets.
