  1. Hi all, I'm still using R21 as Im a hobbyist and cannot afford a Maxon subscription ATM so I'm using the version that I have a perpetual licence for until it no longer functions. It all seems to work fine with windows 11 however Ive begun to notice that some projects don't loop correctly. I'm not sure if this is a bug with R21 or a sign that it's getting too old or something. Recently I posted a project to get help with because I couldn't get it to loop without a jump and after doing what everyone said I still couldn't fix it. Now I'm having same issue again with the Forester plugin. I contacted them and they sent me a file which apparently loops perfect for them but for me there's a jump at the end. Some things loop perfectly fine but other things don't. The project I posted on here last time looped fine until I add delay effect. With Forester I can get a tree with wind to loop but not the multi flora. Anyone have any idea why this might happen?
  2. Not frustrated. Just was hoping to complete the project but gave up as I didn't receive a solution. I did everything everyone said and it still didn't work. Works fine with no delay or low delay but not with. Thanks for the file but no idea what an alembic or what blending out is. I also dont know how to open that ABC file?
  3. anyone can please help me with this? Im still trying.
  4. orbit 1 is a part of the project so i dont want to delete it. Not sure what you mean by "blended out". I tried what youve said and it doesnt work anyway. Please repost the file to show it working. Can someone please have a look into this and post it working correctly so I can see what needs to happen because so far none of the suggestions have worked
  5. yes 90 frames. Ive tried what you suggested but still theres a jump
  6. testorbit2.mp4 orbiting sphere.c4d render 0 -179 and delete 0 -89? is that a typo?
  7. hi, I have made this sphere with mo extrude and plain effector and it loops perfectly fine until i add the delay. In the tutorial it says change from 0f - 90 f and make 90f to 180f instead to give the delay time to have its full effect. So I did that and if I look at the first and last frames they are identical but there is still a jump when i play it back. Any idea why? Ive attached the file. Many thanks orbiting sphere.c4d
  8. Ok so can still use R21 and R20? How about 22?
  9. This is what it shows (see image) I’m not sure what it means tbh.
  10. How do I find out if I swapped? I can’t rememiner.
  11. I only do as a hobby so it’s pretty expensive. It’s actually more than the MSA. I was only paying about 800AUD now on sub it’s 950
  12. If I cancel my subscription can I still continue to use current version R24 or do they block it? Also can I still use other versions before I subscribed ? I still have R20 21 and 22 which were on the MSA.
  13. Hey guys, thanks for the great advise and encouragement. I will be taking it all onboard.
  14. Im finding C4D is so complex and deep that I find it very difficult to focus on learning it. I never can decide how to go about it. Whether I should concentrate on one area such as modelling, hair, dynamics, particles etc and just try to get very good at one thing then move on to something else or learn bit here and there of everything which is what Im currently doing. TBH though i cant remember any of it. My brain just doesn't retain much of it at all. Ive been learning it for two years now and don't feel like Im really much good at anything. I can watch tutorials and learn techniques till Im blue in the face but end of the day I dont ever seem to have any ideas of my own about things or know what to do with the skills I have learnt. How do people learn this stuff and turn it into a career? Are people just faking it with their clients then figuring out how to do stuff as they go along and when needed? Because I dont feel like Ill ever be at place where I can just do whatever a client wants. Life is too short to learn it all. I guess when you work for an agency or something you are given something to do. I even went to uni and completed a degree but was still not enough to give me the confidence to feel like I know what Im doing and land a job. The degree was very broad though so only learnt little bit of this and that, many different programmes. I did really well at uni and threw my heart and soul into it but as soon as it was over I had no clue what to do next. Uni did now prepare us for the transition at all. Any advise from professionals about how to approach companies and what I need to show them? Do I need a showreel or is a showreel something you have after you have done enough work to put on one. Where I live entry level positions are rare as hens teeth and ask for 2 years experience!
  15. Thanks for all your feedback guys. Id honestly prefer to pay a monthly subscription tbh like I do with Adobe. I know some people dont like the idea but maybe it would be more affordable for ordinary folk?
  16. I purchased studio R17 student version when i was studying then when i finished I upgraded to R18 for a good price. When R19 came out I honestly couldn't see that it was worth upgrading then R20 I didnt have the $1200 they wanted. So now Ive found out if I want to upgrade it will cost me $2000 + another $1034 for the MSA. Next year will probably be another grand. I honestly cannot see how they can justify these sorts of prices. Yes I know they add new features etc etc but I honestly feel like Im being extorted. Its like hand over the money suckers or else we are going to rort you for all you got. Just seems extremely greedy to me. They must be raking in squillions.
