  1. @Havealot Because Scene Nodes is supposed to be the way forward and Xpresso to be deprecated ? Am I wrong in that? Just for reference, Maya has Biforst which is basically Scene Nodes + Xpresso. I thought Scene Nodes is like that.

  6. @iDlart I'm sure there are existing ones there but I actualy made a plug-in (free) for this on personal use. But it is only tested for C4D 2023.2 and RS 3.5.15 since that was the last moment I used it in a project. What version are you using so I can check?

  8. I think it has something to do with how GPU renderers process data. I remember this is also how Cycles (GPU renderer) work Also, It's not all the time "bigger is better". there is a sweet spot depending on the resolution and your GPU memory.

  10. RE: My current setup lags excessively during live preview moreso with dynamics(collisions, fractures etc). Because C4D is single threaded mostly. Just use Houdini if you are doing sims most of the time. It will properly utilize your cores.
  11. Natively in C4D, you can't. Natively in Houdini, you can. Probably have the to use some python for C4D to achieve this.

  14. Hi @Donald Brodie There were files deleted when C4D was being renovated in the previous years. You can probably ask the mod on the repository of the old C4D files.
  15. @martijnP Thanks for the response. I checked the file. And it seems to work up until you set both effect to 100%. And it doesn't again. I think its a bug that is never going to be fixed. As I checked it in my trusty R21, it behaves the same thing. No worries, I completely abandon this route now. Have a great day ahead!
  16. Yea every example I see is scene nodes being used solely as a generator (i.e. using the scene root as an output). I don't want to output a new copy. I just want to modify an existing one, like what most node set-up in other DCC. Like what expresso does. Anyway, still thanks for the confirmation. I can't hide my disappointment on this one hthough.
  17. Hi, I'm trying to use scene nodes as an alternative to my xpresso tags for my rigging needs. Starts with just a simple PSR Connections. But for some reason it does not work at all. What am I missing? scene_nodes_simple_PSR_connection.mp4
  18. Hi, Usually, Pose Moprh (Blendshapes) is being used for points mode. It works. But when I use it on PSR mode, it's not working as expected. In the video below, I am able to modify the base model in EDIT state. But when I switch to ANIMATE state. It doesn't do anything. If you want to retry it, I also added an illustration file for reference pose_morph_PSR_mode.mp4 pose_morph_psr.c4d
  19. RS node editor already has the new cosmetics. They more or less have the same UI with the scene nodes.
  20. AFAIK, there is no take system in Blender.
  21. You are near there. Just move the 5 pole vert much closer to arm pit.
