  1. Thanks. Just found it. Looking good so far :)
  2. Cool. The Club feature is also interesting! :) BTW, is there a way to revert to the old black version? I just find i a lot cleaner compared to the white. Just a preference.
  3. I'm not a GPU render/user so if I win I wouldn't really put it to use immediately. But heard good things about red shift. Good luck to all! :) That's also my concern in the giveaway. How would you know if the participants are C4D user? would it be void if they are not?
  4. Really cool! Good luck to the participants! :)
  5. You can check the beginning of this video there is a fall-off of vertex Map. You can also check this out
  6. Hi. Have you tried using vertex maps plug in the rest hold maps? There is was a video that you can transform any object (cube or sphere) to an animated vertex map. I just can't find it at the moment.
  7. Hi @Rectro. Thanks for the reply. That was what I was thinking in my last resort, but with the several clay tubes (see in the image), selecting the edge ring might take same time. Or there is a better way in selecting rings altogether? So far what I know is click the geometry and press U-B.
  8. Hi @Rectro. Sorry to bother you in your thread but do you happen to know how generate C4D hair in a Curve Tube from Zbrush? I couldn't find any command in C4D but I could be wrong. The last resort would be to select the edge vertical edges of the tube geometry then convert edges to spline but as you might know this will take a considerable amount of time. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6jmde0zoov2cmm3/c4d023_generalSpline2.jpg?dl=0

Correct me if I'm wrong but Material ID and ID Map is different things. Material ID goes right into the textureset list. The ID Map goes into the additional Map. I tried it putting the material ID again it goes to the texture list rather than the ID MAP.

"do you want the several maps particuarly?" I do not really want several maps. I am going for one ID Map for several objects.

Uhm. I'm referring to creating the ID Map in Cinema4D itself. This is the only resource I have But I wanted to created ID Map for several assets. In the video, there is only one asset.

Looking good! By the way, just wondering, do you use an ID Map when using Substance Painter? If so, how do you generate an ID Map for multiple objects in Cinema4D?
  14. My reply would be totally but off, but regarding this "Normals, Bump, Specular, Diffuse, and AO." Just did a quick search and also on my personal experience, how would you go about applying AO map in a C4D Material?
  15. Good to know. Still waiting for @3D-Pangel to choose for a scene :)
  16. Before this misleads you, this is not "official" forum challenge but rather a crowd/member sourced one. There will probably no price except bragging rights :) The goal is of course to learn in the process a long the way. Not yet final but this comes to mind. (1) Two settings, day light and night time lit scene (2) textures can be procedural or baked (image) (3) Use Cinema4D in the process, but not strictly all C4D. (i.e. You can use Substance/Mari in texturing). Alternatively, we can lift the rules made by the lighting challenge in the previous link I posted. Let me know what you think.
  17. Cool! I guess, we are waiting for @3D-Pangel and we are good to go. :)
  18. We can start at July. Basically, we all need to have the same model/scene to be lit/textured. You can pick whatever scene you want, I'm fine by it :)
  19. We can do this in at least one month time. Do you think its feasible in your end? We did it before with Character Modelling. Do you want to tag along @Cerbera?
  20. I actually do that @3D-Pangel. Taking someone's model and texture and lighting it. BTW, are you open to a challenge? Would like to have a shading/lighting challenge. We can get the assets from here http://www.3drender.com/challenges/ Let me know if you are interested.
  21. ^I thought that it was under development? But it integrates in C4D much tighter that would be great. I mean non-commercial license is free. Have you used RIS?
  22. Looking great. This time in keyshot?
  23. Nice looking render! :)
