  1. I am. Haven't played Andromeda yet.....the reviews scared me to wait until it's in the discount bin.......plus finishing up my third run of Fallout as well as Prey.
  2. This is fantastic! I love the little details like the smoke detector and the cup on the end table. Plus the can lights with the bulbs set in are the best. I believe it is details like this that push it over the edge from cool render to Phenomenal! I was in awe with the Salarian Armor-now I just cry tears of joy when I gaze at your interiors.
  3. Fantastic! The leather is great!

    WIP, cheeto

Donald seems to have mange or something
  5. So.....how long have you been rendering Cubes? I sense a life long quest to get the right default proportions and the correct color grey. I am in awe on so many levels.
  6. FANTASTIC! Coming from a Flash animation background-I have to say your transitions are almost flawless. I will add you to my list of c4d artists to aspire to.
  7. This is fantastic! Giving me more fodder for my Walker. I do have a couple of questions for the professionals @VECTOR - what do you do with the topography on a cylinder when the top goes to triangles? Do you leave it? King of Snake's suspension has two cylinders that have all those triangles going to center. Is this one of those "unique" scenarios where you leave the triangles? @GaryAbrehart - you talk about building similar to real world components. What do you do the rivets? Are all those modeled or done in texture? Or any of those smaller assemblies? Is it one of those things that if you do not need a zoomed in render-you texture it out? Just curious.
  8. The ends look like sound waves oscillating to an unknown sound. I cannot remember what I did to have that happen, but I know now that my current barrel does not have the same topography. Although-I am debating on some of the assembly. I have some items intersecting while others have a nano space between them. Sometimes you just can't get things to align up just right.
  9. OKAY. Here are the the wireframes that @VECTOR asked for. In my defense-I started modeling this before understanding Quads and Triangles and how the hyper-nurb function worked (please Grand Inquisitor -grant me lenience). Hopefully I didnt make them too small that you cannot see the wireframe.

    Showreel 2017

Fantastic work. I especially like the coat of arms animation (but the tunnel came in a close second).
  11. So...Here are some pics of my steampunk walker (Steampunk AT-ST or ED209.....your choice) that I started when I was first learning C4d. Thanks to this forum-I was able to get past some of the more confusing aspects of modeling. Sad to say..........I got busy with home repair and work and stuff-BUT I think I am ready to start over again and finish this guy. I also added the reference-the original art that I did when I first created my walker. My first love is paper sculpture..............c4d is fast becoming my second. Forgot to add the reference.
  12. Isn't that odd that when we work on projects that we love (I am currently working on a steampunk AT-ST) - that it becomes almost as stressful as a full time gig?
  13. I love that you can see the mesh in the mouthpiece. Truly stunning.
  14. A friend of mine did the same thing - was tired of flaky clients and late night changes right before prepress....... On top of what you are doing, he also identified several studios who he admired greatly and contacted them asking similar questions, ultimately landing a job at his top agency. He said he found what he liked and went in that direction rather than a general knowledge with no purpose.
  15. That is Friggin' Fantastic. Love it!
  16. What?!!? No Gun ports?! Where are your Lateen Rigs? It's Fantastic! Great job on the hull Texture.
  17. Great Job!!! I really like the Blade Runner feel in the lighting. Keep up the good work.
  18. FANTASTIC!!!! To solidify your decision-if you look to the Masters (Durer, Dore......as well as others from their time) none of their death figures have eyes. Somewhere I read that the eyeless sockets made the newly deceased gaze upon the vast blackness of the beyond. Here is a pic to illustrate. Again-truly stunning........all of it. @spiralstair - Fourth Wall Broken. May the Emperor grant you clemency for your impertinence!
  19. As of right now, I think money is the only thing I can do to help out. Maybe some time in the near future I will be open to more. Thanks
  20. My questions is: Is signing up for Support Club the only way to donate?
  21. While I have your undivided attention-I want to thank you ( @SIgor ) so I was going to donate to help out. But all I found was the Gold/Silver/Bronze contribute-so I did the Silver (I still dont own my own fiefdom yet). Is there another place to donate?
  22. Thanks for the feedback. I cannot put much wear and tear because it's brand new furniture and the college might balk at "used" products. I am working on my metals and lighting to have it pop more. What's nice for me is that this is what they use in meetings and not brochures or any other advertising-so I can keep it at a lower dpi (which cuts down my render times to just under 30 minutes). But to go back to the other things. I am still working with the different metals (brushed vs acid etched and the sort) as well as getting the lighting just right. I like C4d more than other software because I could almost just run the Octane sun and render with windows and get the desired effect-it's the closed clinics that I am working on.
  23. I love those old indy cars and saw a few up close in L.A. last summer at the Car Museum. Your models are superb!
  24. Man...........I guess I got what I deserved. I am old.......probably close to Kiwi (but still a noob next to you @SIgor and @VECTOR) Should of just kept my mouth shut. I gotta go take a nap right now. Then I am off for a King's Table buffet that starts at 4. Have to get there early so that I can get back for Matlock!
  25. Was asked to render out some of our CAD drawings to show the admin what to expect when our equipment was installed. Still working on lighting and other smaller things to give it a more realistic feel, but not bad for a couple of small jpegs to show the suits. What do you think? Any suggestions on how to improve the render? Thank you all for replying. -Phillip
