  1. flow path? isn’t that exactly what 2 of the examples in the scenes do? The letters and the car you can probably use the texture field to emit a texture. I am not in front of my computer to check

  3. Anyone know how to change the Transform gizmo text appearance that pops up in the gizmo when you move / rotate / scale. It's sometimes in impossible to see. I can't find the Scheme / colour / background or anything in the HUD Ideally one of these: Make it bigger. Move it out of the way Change the Font Change the background? Often it's impossible to see against the background image - I couldn't find what that Gizmo helper might relate to in the custom scheme editor.

  7. Don't be ridiculous. The memory foot print of Max ( and to a lesser extent Maya ) is huge. And the way that the Ram and VRam is accessed means it's super inefficient. A single App is way more productive. So I am pretty sure you cannot copy and paste between instances of Max at all. You have to save a what you want and merge it in. Maya you can copy and paste between instances. But there is a clipboard size limit and it crashes more often than it works on larger scenes. I've copied 10gb scenes with C4D with no issues at all. "If Max Crashes" - I like your optimism. I get that YOU may have a use case for long single threaded tasks.... but that say more about the prehistoric nature of Max's core ( coming from someone that used to love it )
  8. Certainly interesting. But it's only industry standard for some industries! I've only every been given 8/10 Maya files in 20 years. And I work in TV/Commercial/Music Video/Corporate and some games! Sure I know its use a lot in Film and of course other places - but I don't often see it. C4D is way more used for me. I've been asked about 3DS which I started on and won't touch with a bargepole now days it's horrible in every respect UI wise. And of course the Killer thing for me is that both Maya and 3DS can only open ONE file at a time! It's insane. Is it 1995? Maya Indie Stipulations - not sue how they police this! Your annual gross revenue from creative work must be less than GBP 80,000. You may not use the license on any project valued over $100,000 USD. Only one license subscription can be used per user or organization As for blender. It's very nice. Wouldn't use it commercially I suspect... Because not one company in the 100+ I have worked for in 20 years ever has every used it.
  9. Ah ok. The thing I REALLY don't like is that I can't dock the Add nodes dialog. Can only double click to have it floating. That's really not C4D UI Standard. ***EDIT*** Ignore me... I am an idiot the dialog is actually a pop up version of the new Asset manager ( nodes tab ) so all is awesome again. I can just dock that into the Scene editor.
  10. Can we actually move node / Scene manage objects interactively in the viewport yet? Until that happens it’s mostly pointless. I can see the point of release these tech previews to get people involved and used to them - but until they are fully usable they are not RELEASE production usable features and there is a disappointing lack of those in this release.
  11. I’ve said this before I really hope this new core, nodes , and Red giant merger and redshift acquisition are will lead to making a MAXON Compositor.
  12. I am selling one of my R21 Studio Licences. A big Project has completed. £3300 New - selling for £2000. I’ll cover the Transfer fee. MAXON have confirmed you’ll be able to R23 in September/October for a fair amount, presuming they are keeping the same Number parity for S and R. Thanks.
