  1. It appears to work for me on the U.S. site, I can at least add to cart. Has there been any talk about Indie pricing changes when they release Houdini 19? It's an AMAZING deal regardless, but I'm debating snatching up the $400 for 2-years deal this weekend before the offer could theoretically change as soon as... Monday, right?
  2. And here I thought CV-Art Smart and Springy keys were invented like a decade ago, guess they are new features though, go figure! At least they have a beta of Eevee you can choose to pay even more for, once its ready for Prime Time. Too bad the viewport will still be too slow to animate in.
  3. Since this topic is about expectations, for better or for worse this is my guess: As Redshift has moved to subscription and is owned by Maxon, R25 will reflect this company-wide decision and be proposed as a benefit: "Get Your Render Engine of Choice and Favorite DCC, Better Integrated than Ever, for One Low (but higher than you'd like) Price." Maybe one or two more last calls for upgrades, but more officially stated that its generally ending if not over. Better integration with redshift will be sold as a major new feature for sure, so it will be treated like a native renderer now with better workflows integrated so that it doesn't feel 3rd party at all. THEN... a whizbang feature or two that you never knew you even wanted and certainly don't remember asking for. And then some usual "wasn't this a $25 plugin???" crap thrown in that will make everyone sweat as to whether or not they have had enough this year and just give up already... that's my guess.
  4. , just bought Rizom too. Wish this post came pre-Black Friday, lol.
  5. The core is cumming so just chill.
  6. I'll probably get R20 but I'd like to see what Maya is offering first. I've been with C4D since R12 and the last 3 or 4 releases have had me on the fence and I've stuck with it. But the price difference of either sticking with the MSA (which feels like a subscription, whether or not it really is) is less than a day rate in yearly cost difference to Maya. Maya just seems more practical in that almost every object in 3D needs UVs and having Unfold3D in Maya is nice. Models need to be rigged, and the Quick Rig is nice. I have been doing "motion graphics" for 15 years, and still I have had way more jobs ask for, say, a dog running through a field -- than "a weird blob thing that morphs into slug that morphs into a geometric shape, but to a beat!" Maybe my clients aren't high end enough. HAVING SAID THAT... The main app killer for me here is the CAD importer. That alone is worth the price of admission for me personally, and that is the most practical useful thing on the planet. So you got me for another year MAXON!
