  1. You're welcome. Of course there are manual ways as well, using rails, but the plugin is a lot less hassle :) CBR
  2. Good news. There's plugin for that. http://tcastudios.com/?p=17 Check the Steadybank tag. CBR
  3. Is there any reason you couldn't do this with standard emitters, which would just let you set when particles start and stop ? Failing that, have a look at the manual for PStorm, which tells you about the boolean input port allowing you to turn it on and off. As for changing the rate you can make a User Data float slider linked directly to the rate input. CBR
  4. Because the spline wrap can't repeat its offset, the unsolvable problem @bezo mentioned applies, so perhaps this way might not be suitable. You didn't show us your setup, so I don't know how suitable this is, but if you were doing this by cloning onto splines you could use Xpresso to calculate a Cloner Rate multiplier based on the spline length in relation to the longest spline in the scene. This could, in theory at least, get all your arrows moving endlessly at the same speed and without any stopping half way along them. But I am as bad at maths as I am at Xpresso, so we need someone like @jed to just quickly tell you how to do that :) CBR
  5. Oh is it my turn already ? OK, here's my half way stage on full-body DV. No arms yet ! :) CBR
  6. Weh hey :) OK then - I'll start off with some embarrassingly lo-res renders of my Tie Fighter from the original trilogy. Not a patch on @VECTOR's impending Tie Interceptor, but we all had to start somewhere :) Here's bit of wing detail on those.. CBR

    Crypto donations

Or fixing the 'submit' button so it can't be pressed more than once ! ;) CBR
  8. It doesn't surprise me that it needs to generate a Wav file to work with, but it does that it embeds that in the save file ! Useful in some circumstances perhaps but definitely not in others ! CBR

    HDRILINK help needed

Yes - I am having a very similar problem but with their HDRI studio and HDRI packs not working within it. I too get asset errors when I try and load an HDRI from their browser, and have been unable to use their Roadtrip pack so far for this reason. Not only that, but my HDRI studio won't even load in R19, despite being in an identically equivalent place in the folder structure as it was working in R18. Like for you, GSG seem unable to find a solution so far, but to be fair I have been busy so haven't escalated it as far as I could have done. Thanks for this - you've reminded me to pursue it ! CBR
  10. Oh dear. As far as I know you can only get that from MAXON. I'm surprised that's what they said, as I'm fairly sure that R19 won't open files created in 9.5. But if you upload an R9.5 file here I can test that for you if you like. CBR
  11. I'll move this to the correct section for you. Not many people here have realflow. Suggest you ask this on the RF forums where you'll likely get a faster answer. CBR

    The Orrery

Hello and welcome to the cafe... Very nice work :) Enjoying your cogwork and glass particularly. CBR
  13. Oh - I haven't had that email yet, but I assume it's coming - they can't put it up just in the States, can they ? If the percentages are the same (111%) that'll bump the UK studio MSA to just over £600, goddammit ! Still, fair play; it hasn't gone up for as long as I've been MSA-ing, and it still pays for itself in 1 or 2 jobs if you use it for work, so I'm not too distraught about it. Until I remember that they still haven't fixed OpenSubDiv and UV mapping in well over a year, and then I resent them every single additional pound until that's fixed :) CBR
  14. Thank you for making and sharing this - that's bound to come in handy at some point... CBR
  15. Oh this is excellent. I'll be adding that to my list of holotype tutorials I regularly recommend to people asking questions here. Great work. CBR

    Unreal Engine

Yes, nicely done. Very rewarding lighting particularly. If I did have one minor criticism it might be that some of the shots felt a little hurried to me - ie cameras moving slightly too fast and music maybe a little too upbeat and energetic for the environment ? But I guess it's all subjective, so it's more a personal opinion than a criticism :) Keep up the good work ! CBR
