    That new knife toolset is properly awesome, once you get used to hitting escape to complete your cuts. Loop mode does some very clever stuff with mouse hovering to define what the new loop will look like. Wasn't expecting that ! :D

    Woo hoo ! All good - now we just need to update the cafe so users can select R18 in their profiles :)
  4. Fed up with random dots all over your scene ? Set Null Objects to display nothing rather than dots using 'Set As Default'.
  5. Finally got your joint weighting right for that tricky section ? Lock the joint weights to never lose it. Then save.
  6. Cel renders looking a bit weird ? Turn off displacement channels in materials to fix.
  7. When using hi-res displacement + AO, consider turning AO off for the SD object with a compositing tag. Much faster renders.
  8. Right-click the material preview, choose open window, then CTRL-TAB while mousing over it for full screen material preview.
  9. Got perfect render settings, and suddenly need an ultra quick preview again ? Just change PR Shading Error Threshold to 50%.
  10. Mesh all confusing in line view ? Don't forget Backface Culling in the viewport options menu - works with selection too.
  11. Find and eliminate your pesky ngons using the Ngon mode in the Structure manager. Click one there to reveal it in the mesh.
  12. Huge scenes, 100+ objects ? Customize your interface. Place 'Scroll to First Active Object' button next to the object manager.
  13. Soft Selection preview difficult to see ? Change it in scheme preferences. Purple to white works well.
  14. Isoparms looking horrible and jaggy ? Pop into Open GL preferences and throw the aliasing up to 16 or 32.
  15. Shift-click parametric objects to create them as children of the selected object, then reset PSR for quick alignment.
  16. Editing a mesh deep in the middle of many ? Hold shift to quantize drag it out for editing & to precisely replace it afterwards.
  17. Get a Relax UV Error when relaxing a mesh ? Check inside it for extra walls created by mistakenly leaving Extrude caps on.
  18. Use the one of the sculpting shaders when modelling, for a superior look at your curves.
  19. Single mesh made of many different objects ? Used to clicking a poly and doing U,W to select an element ? Do that in one move and select elements by using U,F and no selection.
  20. I suspect they regard them as somewhat irrelevant in a world jam-packed with video tutorials on almost every aspect of every application...
