Perhaps this technique isn´t suitable for this task. If you have profile of overal shape, you could make upper spline with exactly placed points for sharp corners, duplicate "upper spline" to "bottom spline", connect them, adjust bottom spline points to curved profile, connect both splines into one and optimize it.
Or use polymodeling way...
I think its redraw issue. When you press play in timeline and play with parent Null, you should see correct result. I think its solved in latest version.
I made this list for the following reasons:
So users with old software can have access to modern tools with alternative 3rd party plugins.
So underexposed developers can have their chance here.
So new developers or even MAXON itself can revive dead plugins.
By the way, I'd love to have a centralized manager for caching and baking stuff - either to improve playback performance or to just bake things down for eternity.
Right now, the tools and options are scattered across the interface. I know nitrobake, but I'd love to have something native with guaranteed compatibility...

We found the culrpit in software we use. Audio is much louder now, yet the intro sound got boosted as well. Next video will have all leveled properly : )
My health issues are an ongoing concern for decades, sometimes more, sometimes less. At that time it was a bit more. The stuff i do on Nodebase is usually not really dependent on the latest and greatest, though i do use the most current Cinema 4D relase at any point in time.
You and anyone else, please feel free to drop me a request, it motivates me 🙂

I found them very interesting. And I was waiting for many more. I thought you had mentioned once that the reason for not posting more stuff was thar you were busy... and since there were much going on with updates and teasers from McGarvan I just accepted the delay. If you ever feel creative and want ideas to post for your blog PM me, I might have something in mind.
@LLS One benefit you'd get in Houdini for this type of scenario would be direct support of volumes. Scene Nodes doesn't have volume nodes so you'll have work with a combination of classic C4D and Scene Nodes.
Regarding multi instance: Of course Houdini has instancing.
Regarding volume builder: I've never done any direct comparisons but I would assume it is pretty much the same. In many cases Houdini isn't much faster than other tools. But since there is automatic caching and a nice workflow to work with disk caches you often get better perceived performance over all.
