  1. Oh. I forgot we are talking about Cinema4D and not Houdini. For context, that's how big sims are made. You sim on a proxy then apply the transform on the actual object. I guess the easiest way to do it in Cinema4D is through the "Collission" Another Object option. This is in my old R21. Can't vouch if still the same thing in the newer versions.

  2. Layouts are not and cannot be project specific, so no.

  3. Thanks. But it somehow breaks on newer versions 😞 I do use this plug in for my R21.

  4. Mesh deformer could still work especially for soft body simulations 🙂

  5. Dammit, I always forget that way 🙂 Yes, that is still a thing, and much less faff than mesh deformer ! CBR

  6. Mesh deformer usually, using a low poly proxy cage you build around each link of your model... CBR

  7. Ah found a way to it. Need to drag "bitmap" node. Not too obvious since there's no bitmap heading. Here is an illustration: file_parameter_fix.mp4

  9. Pauls wife, who also worked for Maxon all these years, just not as publicly visible. We still have their daughter, so there is that 🙂

  10. Paul, as well as Wendy, were with Maxon for 25 years now. His decision to leave was his own and i am very sure everyone here at Maxon is sad to see him go. The idea of Paul retiring is a bit ludicrous though, if you know him then you know he has way to much energy for that. Personally i think he should become president of the USA.
