  3. Roughly a year. It's been roughly a year since 19.5. Yes, a .5 does not sound like a major release, but when SideFX do it, the .5 releases are bigger than other DCCs full point releases (and 19.5 was no different).

  4. What else does Nemetschek produce except "Media" ? And is MAXON part of Nemetschek or Nemetschek part of MAXON ? And who's Nemetschek anyway ? I'm trying for 5 minutes to correctly type it ...

  5. *Shakes 8 ball "Acquired by Adobe in 2025" *shakes 8 ball some more The year is 2030. Unreal engine continues to grow and becomes the defacto render engine for most 3D work due to the balance of realism and render speed. c4d is still going fine and profitable, but blender has become the number 1 app due to the fact that it has been 7 years and the c4d student licences still don't work, thus there havent really been many new users. Octane 2029.2 still crashes every 3 hours, if you ask for tech support they will still blame your psu and gpu drivers. c4d 2030 still has no particle system, 90% of all new c4d features are now provided by Insydium which now has a higher monthly cost than c4d itself. 2035. C4D is now available as a plugin for the Insydium Suite. 2037, Adobe adds a new feature to Photoshop that people actually asked for 2039, Yīngyǔ xiànzài bèi jìnzhǐ, yīnwèi wǒmen de zhōngguó bàzhǔ rènwéi tā wéibèile rénmín de yìyuàn. 8. I really think you need to put something out there on social media. A lot of Maxon posts are littered with pissed off people with the same end result.. Blender. I don't think Blender needs anymore acceleration to adoption, especially by its competitors.

  9. I understand your reasoning but as a professor I think that would not fly. It needs to be the full and current version. Here in the US we are training them for the industry where they will use the full featured and current software. And again, Cinema 4D does not exist in an island without competition. The competition is Maya and Blender (also 3ds Max in certain markets outside of the US), full featured. Both Maya and 3ds Max student and indie versions are full featured. Autodesk even retired Maya LT, which was a feature-less version of Maya because Maya Indie made it redundant. Note how smart Autodesk was. As soon as Blender became actually usable in 2.8, they released the cheap indie versions of Maya and Max. They KNOW one of the reasons they are the industry standard is that most top Animation schools in the US and Canada teach Maya, so it is easier for companies to hire Maya trained people. Blender was a direct threat to that so they lowered their price for indies. I honestly think Maxon could get part of the pie of this market if it had any interest in actually being accessible to students. C4D it is indeed easier to grasp and- in my experience - even helps to understand other 3D software. I taught intro classes with both Maya and Cinema 4D (in different semesters). Every time I used Cinema4D the students were able to grasp the concepts and create beautiful shots and animation much, much faster. Unfortunately, it is a non-starter to advocate for C4D use in most schools due to the issues I talked above.
