  1. Its a shame its gone. Its a shame people are dicks. But the guy completely dropped the ball on making the most of what he has. He makes an incredibly good, useful, valued tool that people want and use.... doesn't charge a penny for it, then complains he has no money and that high profile people are using it? ConfusedJackieChanMeme.jpg Add some more shapes, polish it off AND CHARGE MONEY FOR IT!. Advertise it, "As used on star trek discovery!", Sell premade texture packs for the ultra lazy. The mind boggles how you can hold a golden egg in your hand and do nothing with it.

  2. Today I received a billing notice from FastSpring detailing an upcoming subscription charge from U-Render. It's obviously fake since U-Render is no longer in business. This is a heads-up for any U-Render users, past or present. If you get that billing email from FastSpring I would advise you to reach out to FastSpring support and until this is sorted out, block or cancel any FastSpring payments.

  4. It's been 3 days now that I watch NAB 2023 Every single presenter showing how easy and fast Soft Bodies are: - ... and we make a Soft Body tag that looks like a balloon on the object we want to inflate and we press play ! *the object just drops* - Ooops, forgot to make a floor. *object passes through plain* - And this happens because we need to set a collider ... me:

  6. In Scene Nodes that would be Transform Matrices (or Arithmetic:Multiply (Matrix)), in Xpresso Math:Multiply (Matrix) will do it.

  7. OK, well the end of a pencil is not actually a point, which very much helps us here, because we can just bevel the point you have to turn it into a flat disc you can angle rakishly, or leave straight as I have done here, and patch to quads... Then we just need perimeter control loops to isolate that from the nib loops to avoid the distortion there. As you can see it still looks like a point at the wider scale... Check for red lines shown up by Mesh Checker in your version. There are a couple of edge points around the place. CBR

  8. Oh, well done - that certainly wins my award for most awful tesselation of the year ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm sure Rhino can do better than that if it tries ! Even the almighty Z-ReMesher is going to struggle with that. I haven't looked at HP's plan for rescuing it, but mine begins with deleting the thickness polys leaving a flat layer, doing UQ to select the outline of that, and extracting a spline (edge to spline) from it, which is then going under an Extrude, where, TBH I am probably going to stick with the ngon option - the surface is entirely flat, so as long as it produces a renderable surface - the triangulation going on behind the scenes is still likely to be moderately better than what Rhino did (let's face it - it couldn't be worse!) and if we don't have to look at ngon lines, then they need not worry us ! However if we do care about nice(r) topology, then the delaunay options in the extrude caps can work for us if we set the source spline to be uniform and a low point value such as 1, and choose Quad-dominant and suitable density... 9. You just need to pay attention where each object's Z axis is oriented to. You don't even need Fields. But there isn't a 1-click solution. You will still need to group objects according to their final position timestamp. assembly.c4d

  10. I ยดm affraid you need to do it manually. Maybe simple animated plain effector/linear filed and assemble in the desired order...
