Hi all
We are proudly presenting our second plugin based on wonderful new nodes technology for creation of parametric surfaces
CORE 4D primitives 2.0
https://www.core4d.com/ipb/store/product/44-core-primitives-20/
Some things are impossible to model correctly. Expand your primitives with these premium parametric surfaces based on pure mathematics. Fully adjustable, fast, seamlessly integrated as capsule or node they are fully compatible with Cinema 4D in every respect
Package contains following 12 primitives:
* Menger sponge
* Mosley snowflake
* Fermat spiral
* Archimedean spiral
* Hyperbolic spiral
* Tan spiral
* Koch curve
* Dini surface
* Braided torus
* Umbrella surface
* Sierpinski triangle
* Taubin heart
Requirements: Cinema version 2023+ is required
Here they are in action
The Maxon One Spring release has arrived:

I'm excited about the Redshift-News, off I go exploring! 😄
The usual weird quirk of timing continues with Blender's new release coming out the same day. Both releases look fine, and both show a snapshot of what each developer is up to, what they're evidently interested in, and where they're going. C4D continues to polish the stuff they're polishing, Blender continues to add the stuff they're adding.
I'll be largely off the forum for the next couple of months while I learn Bitwig, will drop back in after.
Looks like some useful new features. I'd be interested to see how the new thicken / shell tool works on more 'difficult' geometry.
It does slightly amuse me though how Chris is so enthusiastic about the 'new' RS nodes panel with integrated node panel on the left and attributes on the right... Yes, that's near enough the one that I have in R21... : )
I think someone at Maxon must have Houdini Indie : ) so many 'lifts' from there...
Redshift's Flakes-Shader is really nice, too. (A similar solution was already available via OSL, not sure if this is different at all, but much more convenient)
A caveat: The Flakes-Shader goes directly into the material, not via a Bump-Shader, like every other thing. I know, I'll forget that at least 30 times 😅
We got a Thicken tool guys ! Advanced mode is a wonder to behold... And updated Symmetry !
As usual Chris Schmidt has got us covered... but all thanks to Maxon modelling devs especially - lovely job there. Very nice to finally have a shell tool better than everyone else's, and to be able to have a better alternative to Cloth Surface 🙂
