Expand your primitives with these premium parametric surfaces based on pure mathematics. Fully adjustable, fast, seamlessly integrated as capsule or node they are fully compatible with Cinema 4D in every respect Package contains following 12 primitives: * Mobius Strip * Catenoid * Funnel * Drop * Pillow * Wave Sphere * Trefoil * Twisted Sphere * Borromean Rings * Torus Knot * Snail * Cosine Surface Requirements: Cinema version 2023+ is required Installation is very simple and involves importing a zip file into asset browser. 2. An XP version is probably going to be non dynamic. Here's a Python sim - if you want the sphere to roll, you'll need Roll It or equivalent sph2.c4d Roll-It 2020 EN – eggtion.net

  3. 2.4 million polygons is nothing for a modern system (even for low end machine), this is not related to the OP issue

  4. Here is a simple setup, I hope that helps. - I made a cyllinder, added 3 joints, bind them together. Added 2 keyframes to make it easy to check if its working. - Add muscle object. Set 2 anchors to 2 joints. Then placed the 2 endpoints of the muscle object so that the muscle is inside the geometry, and at a logical place. Fiddled around with relaxed compresswed and extended settings ( I disables autovolume and used the set button in extended and compressed states at different times in the animation) - Added MSkin after Skin object. muscle_test.c4d

  5. Yes. You can keyframe the enable checkbox in the cloth tag's basic tab. CBR

  6. Thanks for the input guys but it didn't work. I found another solution that seems to work - I cloned the lights on a Matrix object. And the Matrix can be deformed and it propagates to the clones.

  7. So finally, after some back and forth, the support tech was able to reproduce the problem, so now this is a known bug at maxon! - but resolution time will depend on the amount of users affected. So if you also have this problem, please go to https://www.maxon.net/en/support-center , select Support Requests, and choose 'I need technical support' from the dropdown, and explain the memory leak briefly to maxon (including the Redshift render failure issue), letting them know you have also seen other users with this problem. Together, strong!

  8. My C4D sub is up next week. I might re-sub down the track, might not. I have a few months to play with Blender and Houdini before deciding whether a re-sub is worth it. It's all a matter of deciding whether I care mainly about Mograph stuff, or whether the extra things that Blender and (obv) Houdini can do are of greater interest. A re-sub will potentially be on the cards down the track, but several months or more off to let Maxon add some more features to it won't hurt.

  9. ...you could use moselection as variable tag in field and while selecting with mouse(updating selection) will be updated vertex map. ...or if you want to use numerical value entered from somewhere, you could use small xpresso and update moselection "numerically"

  10. Personally, I just don't like the "idea" of once again creating different service classes within an individual program. And those special capsules are just that. You can't get this feature in C4D unless you upgrade to the "higher" service class offered by MaxonOne. Doesn't that fly in the face of all the noise we heard about the legal and software difficulties of offering an indie license? The license management was too difficult! Managing the different capabilities of a full and indie license was too difficult. Isn't that what they told us? Their arguments made sense because they got rid of Prime, Broadcast, etc citing those same reasons. But for some reason they have gone back to "technically" offering two different sets of C4D capability under two different license models. I guess you can solve those software and licensing problems when creating a "higher" service class as that leads to a higher revenue opportunity, but they remain unsolvable if you are going to a lower service class that people are hoping for with an indie license.

  11. In other posts, I have looked at Maxon's revenue by breaking down the Nemetschek financial reports and their strategy is working for them. So, it is kind of ludicrous to threaten customer goodwill at this point with a few capsules being earmarked for MaxonOne subscriptions only. IMHO and based on the overall success that SaaS is having on its own, that move will have NO positive effect on their financials. As evidenced in this thread, it will just irritate people. Customer goodwill should be viewed as a LONG TERM asset. It will carry any company over a temporary downturn in business. Goodwill will keep butts in seats if they have a few consecutive years of lackluster releases, unresolved bugs, etc. For Maxon to think that they will never have a sustained downturn in business is pure hubris and foolishness. No company has a perfect track record. Not one. Once a company goes down that slippery slope, it takes time to get back on track and past customer goodwill can help with that recovery. It won't be the engine behind the recovery (that takes internal change) but it can buy much needed time. The need to individually monetize every little thing they create is very shortsighted as it kills customer goodwill over the long term. Dave

  12. Hi, I am also using Cinema 4D 2023 with Redshift on an M1 Max MacBook Pro 64GB and having this exact same problem. Pretty sure it’s a 2023 issue as have run older versions of Cinema on my M1 MacBook Pro with no issues. I have seen in other forums some other people are having a similar issue with 2023 and M1. I also get issues with materials not previewing properly (and quite often just black squares) and general laggyness throughout the software. Eventually when the memory maxes out I get a warning on Redshift aborting the render so I have to force quit and restart Cinema. Where/what is the best way to report to Maxon? Thanks
