  1. In the asset browser search for select facing. There should be only one capsule that matches. Drag it into the object manager as a child of your object. You can use the resulting selection for modeling operations or store the selection for texturing etc. Check the attached scene for an example. Select Facing Demo 01.c4d

  2. I ended up rebuilding the stem of the laser cylinder and it must have been some odd poly issue as it's now resolved. I also raised the size of the whole object as it was very small compared to the example @keppn shared. Thank you for that btw. It did help! Thanks for all recs! Problem resolved 🙂

  3. I figured, that you have to simulate with 2x or 3x the framerate to get it right ... in post you need to speed it back up again. hope that helps

  5. I don't even know what a Lidar scan is. I must investigate. Sounds like it is an expensive piece of kit? [UPDATE--->] Okay, looking online, now I see what LiDAR technology is. Very cool. I see you can even do a scan using an Apple iPhone.

  6. That "knit stitch" snippet was provided by Corona itself. I agree: coming up with a single pattern that is seamless on all six sides can be tricky. Perhaps using a "mirror/symmetry" plugin during modeling can make it easier?
