  1. Personally, I love the Redshift forum. Adrian and the devs have helped me big time, and I learned a lot by reading other people's threads. What I would love to see is the same thing rolled out across all products in the subscription: forum.maxon.net C4D -- New Release Notes -- Technical Support -- Bug Reports -- Wish list (with voting) -- etc Redshift -- New Release Notes -- Technical Support -- Bug Reports -- Wish list (with voting) -- etc Red Giant -- New Release Notes -- Technical Support -- Bug Reports -- Wish list (with voting) -- etc zBrush -- New Release No... ok, it's obvious how that list continues 🙂. This setup just seems like the logical way to do it, instead of scattering efforts across disconnected islands of knowledge. The apps are moving closer together (Magic Bullet in C4D, Redshift in zBrush, etc), and so should the communication around those apps.

  2. Cineversity offers a preview of the new site and it is in your face Maxon. Both the new Cineversity site as well as Maxon.net offer support as a main category, under which you easily see Feedback as well as Support request links. Whatever Google or any other search engine shows you, this isn’t hard to find.

  3. I am very confused atm, so the C4D user feedback/request form on the Webpage was removed. We have no official C4D forum or bridge between the already struggling sense of community and sharing of knowledge. The old C4D user feedback form was removed or obfuscated. Reddit is unusable for anything serious and just for posting images. After 10+ years of using C4D, I noticed that there are some developers here which do listen a bit here and there about suggestions and also help with issues - but unofficially, casually? The relationship is very unclear. Core4D is also not listed on the Maxon page. I am now reading in one random UV bug report that seemingly a developer writes "This is exactly the feedback and reports we need" and I am thinking "Wait what? Feedback, here? How should I know? This is all there is? I could have written so many things all these years? Wait this really is the official place? Wait, Bug reports really also belong into this single main C4D forum?" So, now Core4D has a paid viewing mode. I'm not here to complain about a private? forum being paid, but let me get this straight: The only C4D forum where you can contribute/suggest or report anything about C4D on the entire internet is a private paid viewership forum, which has one single subforum for C4D where people have to throw in anything in one single tiny tiny list which only shows 6 threads on the main page? Maxon please, are you merely suggesting the community is dead or are you trying to bury it? No offense but I am shocked. Not at what Core4D does, but about the lack of actions taken to get it that far. Maxon needs to open an official and easily accessible forum, open an official marketplace for the third party developers, open a knowledge hub, and name the youtube videos about what they are containing so this major source of knowledge is not obfuscated. Someone needs to have a vision here for Maxon or let me give you one suggested plan. (Also btw the Core4D forum page does hide the subforums) People were talking about the community issues the last years but this declined so fast now and this paid thing can't be the last nail on the coffin for the C4D community, something needs to happen. I love the software and people are nice here but this is a really really bad look. The entire serious C4D community can't be and can't be looking like 6 bullet points hidden behind a paywall.

  4. That's an extremely misleading statement. It is trained using copyrighted material, illegally , without which it couldn't amount to very much, or at least would take much longer to amount to something. It is only able to do this because image art is not very well protected compared to musical art, which is never used to train AI because it is so much better protected.

  5. Color Op is basically setting the object color, you can not use it for individual polygons. That would be a material based operation.

  6. That is well off target : ) I still have admin rights so can check stats, Forum has 45000+ members, around 7900 daily unique visits. Most of the people don't post and are simply looking for a scene or post which solves the issue for them. That is 90% + usage. Folks, instead of speculations, rumors, accusations, let's rather deal with 3D stuff. I am sure all parties have their reasons for doing something and we already had couple of threads on same topic...

  7. AI doesn't use existing image. It generates "unique" images by learning the relationship between patterns and concepts (it's what they call "diffusion"). This video explains it briefly :

  8. Maybe try if the Geometry Axis Capsule does the trick for you

  9. Maybe just read what Maxon tells you when you subscribe rather than running to Google? They tell subscribers when they subscribe that Cineversity is there for them. If people forget what they're subscribing to then it's probably on them, unless Maxon are suppose to pass out dietary supplements to users to stop their memory from clouding. The official Maxon support link is just two links under that Chaosgroup link you cited. If looking two links down is hard, then life itself if probably going to be hard too, so no wonder you're swearing so much.
