  1. Yes it can be done this way too and it can be done if you change the nested orbit's alignment of my rig here. The difference is the execution. Using the Tracer it is imperative to have a simulation/animation run it's course to reveal the result (something which is not predetermined or always constant). While this mathematical model computes the spline without considering time.

  5. @Jeff H1 I mean you can always Shift + Drag the object to C4D. That will respect the default scene. So in a sense, it is working as expected huehue

  6. This is a known "feature", no timespan for fixing it.

  7. Ah yes, you pre-empted my 'merge works' comment ๐Ÿ™‚ But yes I concur that is the case, and I don't see why it should be ! I will investigations ! CBR

  9. They released an extensive update for all DCCs just a few month ago. I think Redshift is developing really good in fact. They have GPU, CPU and RT engine in development. And are cooking a version for AMD. That is basically a renderer for every platform out there which is great (Even though the CPU version is embarassingly slow).

  10. Excellent, thanks : ) Iโ€™m staying with Corona for a while it seems. Render quality and setup time is still amazing. Scatter and decals are my recent favourites.

  11. @janan If it's ok to have all of them use the same (not black) color, you can just change the wireframe color in the preferences: Scheme Colors > Viewport > Shaded Wire

  12. Here is a screenshot of the latest souped-up XPresso (only, no Python) based version showing a more complex "Torus Knot (11,3)". In terms of enhancements, I've added additional functionality, automated pretty much everything, and added lots of helpful guides. I also fixed a few bugs/shortcoming in the prior version. The following image shows all available guides just as as showcase of features. Realistically, only a few of these would be enabled at any one time depending on what aspects are of interested and/or are being worked on in related scenery, so as not to add unnecessary clutter and complexity to the knot topology that is shown. (External image, click on it (and click once more, when the magnifying glass appears, afterwards) for a full-res version:

  15. Redshift RT is completely different from the RT technique analogous to game engines such as Unreal or Unity. It's all about getting such a technique in C4D, something similar to Unreal or Eevee. Redshift RT is a regular Redshift rendering supported by Nvidia RT cores. It is not an alternative, it is something completely different.

  16. Sad To hear. And I also hope for the future, that you guys find great jobs. It is a experience after all and also the bad ones have value somehow.

  17. Well, Maxon already had Forge but then they bought Zbrush... But if you're talking about Redshift RT, I don't think that's comparable to U-Render. Redshift RT is great, but it's more akin to Octane Direct Lighting or Arnold GPU. it's not a super fast game-engine-like renderer like U-Render is (as you know, as you were working there). Anyway, it was just an idea, maybe @DMcGavranwill spare some minutes to look into it. Just trying to help.

  19. Some environmental experiments. Lighting needs work. Toon stuff is harder then I thought it would be.

  20. you might need to lower the intensity of that light coming from the left, I think it blows the skin out a bit and doesnโ€™t allow you to get that nice light seepage look, also a strong back light gives it a nice outline glow. Something like these maybe.

  21. Gotta keep an eye on Vector at all times ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you! The exterior shot has HDRI lighting (Shawn Astrom's Perfect Clouds) - the yellow/orange background ones are just straight up Corona area lights and the darker one with the tentacle are using HRDI studio light panels from Pingo. No illumination in the materials. SSS on almost everything and my trademark excessive use of Bloom and Glare ๐Ÿ™‚ No saturation pump - just making the colors on the materials super saturated from the beginning - trying to find the balance.
