  1. Again, still not entirely sure what you want, but note that the order that your effectors appear in the cloner's effector list is very important - you will get different results depending on which of those you calculate first, which might be partially why you are not getting the result you are expecting. 2. I'm not as smart with this stuff as I should be but: Cloner is affected by the Effectors (e.g. plain, delay, random, shader, etc). The Effectors are affected by Fields (e.g. Linear, Box, Spherical, Random, etc) You can then modify those Fields with Modifiers (e.g. Clamp, Delay, Quantize, Remap, etc).

  3. yeah it can be a bit confusing and a lot of those things you may not use on a regular basis but good to know they are there.

  4. Take that Embergen? (Note the question mark). The debate floor is now open. Dave

  5. Quantize is one of the modifiers for the Fields. It is exclusive to the fields section of the Effectors.

  6. These pages are quite interesting : https://ommer-lab.com/research/latent-diffusion-models/ https://stability.ai/blog/stable-diffusion-public-release This AI can be used to create "art" from simple instructions, but also for texturing, adding surface details, upscaling, generating variations, changing illumination, fixing image, filtering, etc...

  7. Vent warning: I'm old and out of touch with the way things are today, but I really don't like the way companies provide support anymore or the lack thereof. I still haven't gotten Insydium's Fused plugin to load in C4d 2023. I can’t find hardly any info on the Internet regarding whether the plugin loads or not. (Edit: I found one post on Reddit.com that two people had the same issue, but the moderator removed the post for some reason.) The ONLY thing I’ve seen was within my Insydium account, which states that if you have trouble loading the plugin on a Windows system, try installing several C++ redistributable, which I did, but with no change in result. I looked around the Insydium site and they seemed to have removed any way to contact them for help. They have a link to Discord, but Discord is worthless to me. I don’t see how anyone can use that site for support. What happened to companies providing support for what they make??? Since I’m apparently on my own, I thought maybe the problem is with my 2023 installation. After all, I did get an install error the first time trying to install it via the Maxon App. However, the second attempt completed installation properly. Using the Maxon App, I tried to uninstall C4d 2023 and wouldn't you know it, it gives me an error, saying something went wrong and it can't be uninstalled. I tried several times, but still a no go. I figured since these licenses aren’t cheap, let me call Maxon and find out if there is something I should check. But when I select 2 for technical support, it just says go to the web site and research our knowledge base or open a ticket -- Goodbye. Wonderfully dismissive. But at least I can submit a ticket. That's a 100% better than Insydium who doesn’t care at all. How can you charge hundreds of dollars for something and say if it doesn't work, ask someone else. Don't come back to me. But that seems to be exactly where we're headed and have been for a while.
