  1. actually EVEE next is on the back burner based on a stream for 3.4 alpha from a couple days ago. it's also still a crappy renderer. Never use it for final post work. Unfortunately many Blender youtubers recommend it over Cycles simply for speed (over quality). I'd rather model things in Blender and move into Maya or C4D at this point. Arnold and Redshift crush Cycles. Flip fluids still look like a hot mess... Blender FX in general just look bad. Just wait until they figure out how to copy more from Houdini with integrated particles, flip, cloth, and more in nodes. It still won't be Houdini but it'll be good enough for being free. 🙂 I think the ship has sailed for C4D nodes to be competitive and the same with Maya Bifrost. It'll have a niche following though. I know some tools are being developed in Maya Bifrost and sold on Gumroad. One more thought: I wonder if the things done in Geo Nodes, like the offroad rig generator can be done in Xpresso. It's a pretty powerful tool.

  2. I couldn't agree more with Dave's comments above. Blender is racing along the track and C4D seems stuck in the garage. The only impressive example I've seen was a fleeting glimpse of Noseman's building generator. The others I've seen have been isolated technical demos of how to reproduce some deformer or effect that already exists. I don't intend to dismiss the samples from Hrvoje and others on this site at all - I'm sure those examples could be really helpful in developing a more powerful setup. But, as Dave asks above, where are those impressive examples of scene node power? I really hope C4D sees some significant positive movement with scene modes in 'R27'.

  3. So where have C4D nodes shown this much potential? Great to have Blender as means of poaching capabilities that should be making their way into C4D nodes by now. Unfortunately, the most I have seen out of C4D nodes are basically nodal equivalents of what MoGraph or fields can do. Didn't Blender and Maxon both start developing nodes around the same time? If so, my sense is that Maxon is still building the instruments for their nodal orchestra, whereas Blender is already producing symphonies. Either that or C4D's implementation of nodes is just so complex that if an artist is going to invest that amount of energy to learn nodes, they make the wiser decision to put that energy into learning Houdini. Honestly, Maxon would be well served to figure out how Blender could be at this level of deployment with their nodes. This is not the first time I have been amazed by Blender nodes. Can someone please show me a C4D nodal system that is amazing and as fully fleshed out (right down to texturing)! Maybe I am just not seeing it and if so, I will be more than happy to retract these concerns and issue an apology. Dave

  5. For adding "something" behind the numbers just use adding in string mode as said @MJV. Here is simple example with existing/known number line. Using this way no matter if your numbers are integers/reals with few decimal places, "m" will be always added at the end of number. If you need one empty place before m (offset m by one empty place), simply change constant string value to " m" (empty place, then m) add_string_mode_scene.c4d
