I will try to at least outline the basic steps of it this weekend, if not a full fledge tutorial. One thing: At one point in the process it is necessary to select every other point in a spline. Does anyone know if there is built in functionality to do this in Cinema currently, or a script?
I'd love to see the Relax mode in the Brush tool (new feature) find its way to UV editing. Apps like Maya have an Unfold and also Optimize Tools which helps to relax and unfold UVs using a brush.
A long while ago I modeled a faceted garden gnome.
I thought that would make a nice entry for this challenge as I was 100% certain that model had way less than the max. allowed 99 polygons.
I was shocked to find out the body alone had more than 250 polygons. Not counting those of the legs (78) and shovel (27).
A major revisit was required ...
Now I don't expect to win any prize with this. Just consider it my contribution to get the challenge going.
