  1. So uh... I spent the holidays on gaming and... learning Blender. Funnily enough this is the biggest project I have ever done outside of commercial work. Needless to say that I really enjoy Blender. I think with that scene I got the basics pretty much down. Next step? Probably geometry nodes. BUT! The scene is not 100% done yet, but wanted to share anyway 🙂 This is a recreation (with some artistic freedom) of the Dowgate Fire Station in London. Everything based on this photo. 4. This is not what happens when software companies like Adobe and now Maxon acquire new pieces of software that fit their market niche and subscription portfolio. Nothing from ZBrush will be ported to Cinema and nothing from Cinema will be ported to Zbrush, because in reality you can't just plop code or design from one software to another any more than you can combine two different artists' paintings into one painting. The only conformity between the products will be how they are billed and maintained, and we already see that change happening.

  5. Thanks for all the feedback and examples. I reworked the mesh this morning before seeing your insomnia post and thought I'd share what I did to show the poly flow and leading edge. I'm not sure if I did the best job in removing the complex poles on the leading edge or not. I did so by adding a column of polys around the wing. I noticed you didn't do that, but I couldn't see if you removed those poles on the leading edge or not. I'll continue work on the exhaust. Your solution is what I was going for. I had done something similar for the orange and green lines, but got really messy with the interior because I didn't plan out the first part well. Thanks again for the breakdown.
