  1. I was not signalling you out in particular. I have just seen this used so many times over and over and over, Might have been a joke the first time I saw it a year or so ago. But to see it keep coming up again and again? "Bullshit" is not offensive here in New Zealand. IE it is not a really offensive swear word. Same as saying rubbish or silly. But I have to say I did let my annoyance at seeing the CEO of a company who is keeping hundreds of people employed being called a name in a derogatory way. I like Adobe, and Autodesk and everyone in the 3D industry. And I also give my respect to those people that work there since they have provided me with employment for the past 21 years. We are all free to criticize, give our feedback on what is happening. But I draw a line at childish name calling, even if it is intended as a joke. Since this stuff eventually catches on and then more people start throwing it around in the forums and then we all leave and this forum becomes as dead as CGTalk. Which I do not want to see.

  2. The childish flippancy, gaslighting and naked ingenuineness of this defense makes me want to puke, and you're supposedly an educator. 🤮 Yeah you didn't mean anything by your name calling, it was actually a term of endearment, even respect! 🤮🤮🤮

  3. There are some really nice interior renders by Philip Moreton in the latest Renderpeople newsletter: https://renderpeople.com/blog/photorealistic-visualizations/ It’s rare to see such good lighting setups in arch viz. It won’t fit every project, of course, but it’s nice to see some cinematic work creeping into architecture. And I’m happy to see he’s using Corona (not with C4d, though).

  6. I don't really agree with everything Maxon are doing and have found the past few releases pretty disappointing, but I do appreciate that Dave reads these threads sometimes. Doubly so with Rob. If someone was calling me a soul sucking vampire on here I'd probably just say 'fuck em' and not come back. Also, I dont know, but maybe people have forgotten that there's still a big ol' global pandemic going on. I don't know how much it has affected Maxon but it sure as shit can't have helped?

  9. Would you be happier if the Nemetschek guys had said, Dave, we know you're running Maxon, but we'd prefer it if you weren't involved in any discussions we might be having here that could affect Maxon and the various plans we have for it? I don't see the logic. Would you rather the Nemetschek guys just scratched their chins and went, we're not really sure what's going on deep in Maxon - there's a guy that's running it, but he's not here, thank Christ - but lets make some more decisions that involve Maxon, hopefully we won't screw things up, fingers crossed. This is unless the suggestion is, Dave M. was an undercover mole sent into Maxon HQ to plot its destruction deep from within. This sort of retarded conspiracy might make for a good SF show on Netflix, but doesn't help much in figuring out what is going on in life or in the world today. If someone wanted to destroy Maxon, why would they bring in a top level professional as a new CEO and have him attend trade shows and development meetings and stuff? Surely they'd just call a single meeting with Rick, Paul Babb, Srek and everyone and say, guys, you're all fired, there's some top jobs going over at Dunkin Donuts if you hurry real fast. I think dumb rubbish suggesting a global conspiracy with Dave McGavran as a covert secret agent (Dave 007) is better off being posted at Reddit, not dumped with a thud into forums here at Core4D.

  10. From the album: Matches' Makes

Sculpted and textured in ZBrush, hair groomed in Cinema 4D, rendered with Arnold, and finished in Photoshop.
