Every so often Captain Disillusion, off that youtube, pauses making videos artfully debunking silly viral alien videos and drops a fascinating full length documentary on various 'magic moments' from VFX history.
And this one, his latest, is no exception, being a fascinating and rewardingly thorough and well-explained breakdown of the VFX processes used in this classic film, and how it fitted in with the general progression of the industry at the time. His explanatory graphics alone are reward enough, and must have taken hours of work to perfect, so maximum props to him for another immaculately made episode...
So just sharing that, because it's exactly the sort of thing that people like us should be watching in between all the Star Wars. 🙂
