  1. Thanks for the reply. But I can't help but question the difference in image output with C4D and Max if you use Corona for both. They are the exact same render engine, so if anything it's probably some default tonemapping or color profile that is applied. But I doubt it, since I've used both with Corona and I did not see a difference at all. I've tried 3DS Max 2021 last week and I gotta say... windows open faster now. I don't have to wait two to three seconds for render settings and material editor to open up, but if you compare it to the instantaneous response you get from C4D it's still a joke.

  2. While not a magazine used for learning a particular application, I do love Cinefex. A great magazine that goes into professional FX on major motion pictures. They also have an iPad edition as well. What I do get out of that magazine are the discussions on how the artists strived for that last 5% between what looks good to what looks real. That attention to detail in lighting, texturing, camera shake, and the art of putting detail into the scene that you will ONLY notice if it is NOT there. Those are invaluable and very hard to learn lessons. Unfortunately, what was once a bi-monthly publication has not produced a magazine since June, 2020 due to COVID. If the movies are not being released, then they can't publish the magazine. I hope to get the next issue in February and looking forward to reading up on Season 2 of the Mandalorian....but we will see. Dave

  3. Node setup Cinema 4D and Redshift for ACEScg render output. The Node sRGBtoACEScg is between the sRGB Texture and the material input.
