  1. I was watching the TV show Limitless and in one episode there was a sniper taking a shot from about 2 miles. It got me thinking about the math required to hit a target in C4D, taking into account the vertical drop of the projectile due to gravity - so I built a rig. There's a comedy boing when you hit the bullseye. sniper.c4d TLDR - use this equation

  3. Thanks! I think image quality is more about the user then the engine. Think of it like a photographer using a Nikon for some shots and a Canon for others. Technically speaking, Corona is much much easier to use with much less input needed. Redshift has a steeper learning curve and a different philosophy on fine controls for all aspects. I also think that Corona is better intigrafed with the traditional Cinema workflow. I still use Corona for my professional work. I added Redshift mainly for Volumetrics, which Corona is quite poor at. I now have clients using Redshift on our current project, hence the deeper dive. In learning it more, I've found that, for me, Redshift does bump and dispacment better, but it's not a show stopper for Corona by any means. Redshift will only really pay off if you have a good GPU set up, but if you are happy with Corona, keep going. Once I committed to Corona and really learned it, I could focus more on the design and lighting, and less on "rendering". Corona remains my go to for most jobs.

  4. If you want chill....James Horner. Field of Dreams end theme is just outstanding as well as his composition called "The Horsemen". Sad story actually. The Horsemen were an aerial acrobatic team and James Horner was training with them to be a acrobatic pilot. He wrote "The Horseman" as a tribute to his friends and teachers and something that they could play while performing. In an interview, he said he never felt more free than when he flew and wanted that freedom to be reflected in his composition. James Horner passed away in 2015 while flying his acrobatic plane. He was my favorite composer and I feel that loss to this very day. Dave
