C4D sketch & toon + a neat little program called StudioArtist 5 makes a great couple. it's basically a sketch and paint effects preset library with the option to adjust parameters of the filters. apparently it can do a lot more, but it has a horrible UI and at least to me it's logic is rather unintuitive. but you can get a variety of good looking sketch and also really sophisticated paint effects out of it.1 point
