Foundry stops the development of MODO
Cinema is much nicer to use, but that alone doesn't make it more professional than blender. There are thing about blender that are worse and things that are better. Cinema makes it much easier to love it for its UI constancy and overall logic of use. But right now Blender with cycles is so much more stable than cinema with redshift. You can download all old versions of it if you want to open an old project or if they droppend a feature. The node system in Blender ist more consitent than cinemas and much easier to use and then there are features that are not available for cinema like the compositor (yes it actually is really usefull) or eevee. But yes blender pisses you off every day when you are used to use cinema. Imho blender is just for another industry and another style of working. Anyway less competition is always bad! I personally see this as a sign that the market for commercial 3D software is going to get really problematic in the future. RIP Modo1 -

Team Renderer Using Redshift & Xrefs
Well I spoke to Sebastian who is the software development manager at Maxon and he said that xRefs have been fixed in C4D which I suspected and am over joyed about Also I got it slightly only on the Redshift licencing front I only have to buy another Redshift licence to get Team Render working full blast rather than another C4D or Maxon One subscription so that works out even better. Lastly I have also found that turning off CPU in the Compute Devices in the Redshift preferences on the Mac speeds up rendering a fraction too - happy about this. But dedicated GPUs are still gonna be faster in Redshift than any of the current Macs. I was hoping Apple where going to be releasing an M4 Studio this month but alas no… I guess I will have to repair my ailing PC at some point LOL. Hope the xRef fix helps others. -

Foundry stops the development of MODO
Blender is fine. They're leaning more heavily into documentation, bug fixing, and all those things you listed, and since you can still use and download every past version from prehistoric times up to today, seeing features changed (or even dropped) maybe impacts different when guys like Maxon or Autodesk do it. But I wasn't a huge fan until recently, and it just took a little while to have things sink in a little before it clicked, if you use an app that you prefer, that's good too. I think C4D will be more 'complete' a year down the track than it is now, but there's still a bunch of stuff Blender can do that C4D can't. And vice versa. -

Polygon number index with delete modifier
@zeden I confirmed it myself. Bug is assigned and will be addressed. The issue is not in fact in delete node, rather something else so support was not really capable in this case to determine that on required technical level.1
